Quickest way to loose weight?

i used to exercise all the time but now i can't due to injury and stricked instructions from the doctors. i've noticed that i've slowly started to put weight on, i eat healthy but it is still not working, any ideas? i need to loose about half a stone by the end of this month due to an event i'm going to and i don't want to look too big. Any ideas?
