+1 yDrink as much water as you can. Always have water near you, always try to drink, even if it's just a sip. When your body is hydrated, the matabolism works faster.
Cut sugar. Especially high fructose corn syrup. If you drink a lot of soda, limit yourself to one soda a day to go with your biggest meal which should be between 12-5pm.
Eat chicken that is not fried or breaded. Eat veggies. Sometimes at my job I'll get a kids chicken breast and broccoli, which they douse in garlic.
Increase the quality of your food. Stop going to McDonald's, go to the hood and get Peruvian food. It will basically be a home cooked meal. I eat a gigantic plate of chicken and rice 3 times a week and spend less than when I go to a fast food joint. And I lose weight and I feel amazing.
And if you do intermittent fasting for a year it will completely change how easy it is for you to drop weight for the rest of your life. I got fat in the first place because I eat too much. Not anymore. I get full much quicker and because I did the fasting, I have the discipline not to over eat too often.
Drink water
Cut sugar as completely as humanly possible (don't eat bread for like 2 weeks)
Eat better food (it's not just about what you're eating, the quality of the food itself matters a lot too)
Try to eat on a schedule, never less than 3 hours before bed
This is not advice you should take to an extreme, it's just a good start. It's stuff I figured out after years of trying to figure out what works for me.
You want to be careful about spending months at a time eating mostly meat. Our bodies are meant to run on mostly plants and just a little bit of meat. Which unfortunately I makes avoiding sugar very difficult. Which is why I believe it's good to "detox" yourself from sugar first and then slowly start re-introducing grains and starch like rice and potatoes.
Again, most body builders/nutritionists would probably disagree with this because it combines two schools of thought, but it helped me get my life on a way better direction than before.22 Reply

Anonymous(36-45)+1 yWeight is just a number. So if you just want to see a lower weight just eat a lot less - like 800cal diet. But if you want to lose weight to look and feel great, there is no “easy” way but there is sustainable way:
1. Have a meal plan for each day of the week with lots of veggies, eggs, and white meat. Limit fruits and grains due to sugar and carb.
2. take at least 40-60 g of protein each day - whey can be a good source.
3. Drink plenty of water
4. fast for 24 hours once a week - take only lemon juice with salt and nothing else.
5. Do Low intensity workout (walking, yoga, chores around the house) since you are on low calorie diet. Higher intensity workout may cause you to fluctuate in weight.
also measure your waist, hips n chest and not just rely on weight to track progress.
good luck!11 Reply

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yLiterally eating real food, not eating trash. Watch old documentaries about how to eat well, something so simple has become so difficult this days with so much bs around us. Watch, Good Eating Habits (1951) -in YouTube for example, old videos like those are very helpful sometimes, in certain topics it's time to go back in time and see how we did it back then.

-portions in half
-remove both liquid and solid carbs
-3/4 Protein diet
-Daily calories in half (1600ish)
-HIIT 30 sec, rest 1.5 mins, 30sec etc for 30 minute period (Even Days)
-high weight/reps circuit training 15 sec each machine goal 45sec. (Odd Days)
-NO Computer/TV: pull weeds, clean house, beat-off…. Activity everyday evening. Rest on Wednesday and Sunday.
I went from 212 to 191 in one month but my Calorie intake was sub 1600 and daily calorie burn was at least 300. It sucked ‼️
It is easy now Protein and Mass build still Zero Carbs and HIIT. No more circuit training 💩 . Continue household activity especially 10 up/10 down stairs daily.10 Reply1.6K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. • Intermittent fast every day - I recommend doing it overnight & tailoring it to your schedule/when you would & wouldn't need energy
• Eat fewer calories than your body burns - You can find out how much your body probably burns relative to your energy expenditure by using a calorie calculator. I like to keep track on an app called "myfitnesspal"
• If you don't need a bunch of energy, in order to not feel as hungry & more satisfies, eat denser, low calorie, & low glycemic load foods (like protein & fiber) that regulate eating hormones (like leptin, ghrelin, etc)10 Reply
+1 yThe easiest for me has always been a long-haul iterative approach; you whittle away at your worst eating habits little by little.
You just make the smallest tweaks to your lifestyle. If you can handle that and start to enjoy that and sustain it, you can apply another round of small tweaks.
It's not going to be as fast as cutting out your favorite foods overnight but the thing about doing it this way is that you don't need epic willpower. It also sets you up for life.14 Reply- +1 y
Home cooking is something I also recommend if you have the time. By cooking at home, you get to control exactly what goes into the dishes you make, and you can start to find dishes that you maximally enjoy without being too calorie-dense, e. g.
For the exercise side, I recommend a similar long-haul iterative mindset. Don't "exercise" routinely with little gained beyond calories burnt unless you enjoy it. "Train" so that you derive very long-term improvements to your strength, speed, mobility, endurance, skill. Aside from being more motivating and giving you more results to work with than the numbers on the skill, it really helps you burn more energy not only when you're working out but also when you're on vacation, e. g. - +1 y

+1 yEat only when you’re hungry and don’t eat until you’re full. Just enough to not be hungry anymore.
Also, take a long walk every day. When you start to feel tired, push on for about 5 more minutes before returning.
This will be painful for about a week, but suddenly it will be easy and you will be able to handle an even longer walk.
The weight just kind of disappears as your stamina increases.20 Reply374 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Peppermint gum. Chew that instead of eating dinner.
Also, and this is just a theory, stay away from whatever unhealthy thing you didn't like as a child. Like, I didn't like steak or cheese as a child but like them now. I cut them out of my diet and lost 20 pounds in two months.10 Reply- 604 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic.

4.8K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. There is no easy way to do it. The most efficient is to burn more calories than you consume. Do aerobic exercise, monitor your heart rate for your target heart rate. Eat fruits and vegetables. Lean beef and chicken for dinner. Try to minimize sugar. You will lose weigh slowly but it will stay off.

+1 yEat less. It is simple and pain free. Don't believe me? Over 1 year I lost 10 Kilograms just having fewer snacks and drinks and slightly smaller meals.
Not one extra amount of physical activity than I had done before. I was 47 when I started. I have remained the same weight for 2 years now. 73 kilos. I'm 5"9.10 Reply
+1 yAlready been said, but simply you need to burn more calories than you ingest.
You need to think about protein, as a rule of thumb, you should aim for a gram of protein per pound of body weight.
Have a look on google, and research "Macros" in relation to Protein, Carbs & Fats. Should help.
Join a gym if you can, lift weights, learn the major lifts. Muscle naturally burns calories.
Hope this helps, and google has a wealth of information.10 Reply
+1 y2 ways in my opinion. Healthy and unhealthy. Healthy is running everyday and eating less bad stuff. Qnd the unhealthy way is just to not eat much at all.
10 ReplyProbably low carb diet. You can eat fat and protein as much as you like, just avoid carbs. I lost tons of weight super fast and never had to be hungry.

When I switched from meat eater to vegetarian. I lost 10lbs like the first month. Then another 10 a few months later . Self control is huge.

*Eat 3 times x day, do not eat any more.

@tom_the_dating_snob The ONLY way to lose weight is to expend more energy than you are consuming. You have to make it a priority. If you are maintaining a certain weight an easy way to start losing weight is to replace certain parts of you diet with heathier lower calorie options and by being more active. It's not a diet its a lifestyle.
