It takes time and effort to get into a new routine, but it's doable :) Trust me, I am an early bird who has to convert into a night owl for medical school everytime exams come around and my roommates and I are on completely different schedules. Ideally, I like sleeping early and waking up early for the same reason you described... being alone in peace. Early morning is just like late night!
When it's time for me to change my schedule, I make sure I allow myself no naps or caffeine during the day to make sure I am fully tired by the time it's around 9-10pm.
Try to inch backward and sleep earlier and create a nice atmosphere conducive to sleep. Make sure there is nothing on your bed other than what's needed for sleep, there are aromatherapy sleep sprays that really set the mood, really go through a more drawn out bathroom regimen before bed... maybe shower, good skincare, good dental care. Don't eat 2 hours before you are planning to sleep and no caffeine after 4pm! You could try melatonin pills or benadryl to help you out in the beginning as well. Get yourself some ear plugs + maybe a sleeping mask and maybe have a fan blowing in your face as ambient noise and fresh air.
You really have to force yourself to commit to the bed time though. Make no excuses and just do it.

I'm the exact same way. It's 1:43 AM right now, and I'm having to force myself to finally go to bed. Whenever I can't sleep, I run a really hot bath (like hot tub temperature hot), turn off the lights in the bathroom, and just soak for a while. After about 10-20 minutes, I get out and go to bed. The hot water relaxes your muscles and makes you a little weak, making it much easier to fall asleep.
Stay awake for 24 hours... don't drive simply go for walks do everything you usually do then choose a time like 10pm and set your alarm for 6am in the morning... repeat until on set schedule. It works believe me

It's a biological fact that some people just are night owls, like me. I sometimes go to sleep as late as 5:30 AM in my time zone.
