I want to gain some muscle - Newbie help?

I'm very skinny - around 46-47 kg and i'm 171 cm tall.
I'd like to build some muscles, since my back, legs, arms etc. are getting effected by my low weight.
If I need to gain muscle, what should I do? Can you join ''team training''? or is that only with cardio?
