How worried are you about getting cancer?

i'm 20, and my doctor thinks i have it. i should know for sure tomorrow. i am extremely worried.

I'm not worried at all. First of all everyone gets cancer or at least everyone has potential cancer cells they just get killed off before they cause a problem. Second as long as you catch it early cancer treatment although unpleasant it's still pretty reliable. Third if I do get cancer and I can't get rid of it I'll just focus on enjoying the rest of the time I have left. I'm not gonna waste a minute of my life worrying and being sad about stuff I can't control

I was worried, but now I just feel if I get it then it is what it is. I can't do anything about it except to maybe get medical treatment. If it will put my family in debt, then I'd prefer not to get medical treatment and just spend all the time I can with them.

It's strange but I think about that a lot... I think it's normal for it to cross ppls minds, bit not to actually worry about it u less there's a reason to worry...
But all u can really do it try and stay positive and hope for the best. And if the worst happens, then surround urself with people who will support u and start fighting for urself.

I'm not that worried. A few relatives have had cancer but my closest family is healthy. I also do regular checkups (I make sure there are no weird lumps in my boobies), make sure I don't have any skin anomalies etc.

I would be worried but not like omg im going to die worried. Since death doesn't really faze me, im not completely sure how I'd feel.

heh, i used to take naps out in the sun without any protection.. it sure felt good being toasty but what kind of damage it did to me? i dont know.

I have a family history of Breast Cancer (my mom was diagnosed @ 36 and my sis @ 33) so I'm pretty afraid (I even considered a prophylactic mastectomy) :(

and yeah, my nan had cancer once but she survived it thankfully.
a lot of people i know have had it, just hope i dont have it.

Not worried because I don't smoke, I don't drink alcohol or carbonated beverages, I don't take any narcotics and I'm a vegetarian.

Honestly, not that worried. If I get it, then I get it. I can't do anything for it. I think if it's someones time to die they die.

Cancer can be cured by multiple means. As long as you don't fall for the foolish "All we can do is try Chemo" which will kill you slowly in itself.
