+1 yIf yr diet is as described in yr response to Azara, then, you are eating EXACTLY the opposite of the kind of diet that actually promotes fat loss.
Like, if that's yr diet, then yr diet is composed overwhelmingly of carbohydrates. That's a very bad diet for fat loss. If you've been eating that diet for a long time, then you've likely built up some amount of insulin resistance, which will compound the problem.
The BEST diet for fat loss is the PSMF diet, which is basically pure protein, 0 fat, and 0 carbohydrate. I will not lie to you -- the PSMF diet is also basically hell on earth, if you are not accustomed to that kind of dieting. But it ALWAYS works, if you stick to it. There is not a single case, in all of medical history, of failure of PSMF in a dieter who isn't noncompliant (= who doesn't cheat or quit).
Based on yr stated food preferences, though, you'll probably find it impossible to stick to PSMF, at least for now. Too much change.
So, you should start eating a diet that is AS LOW IN CARBOHYDRATES AS POSSIBLE, and AS HIGH IN PROTEIN AS POSSIBLE.
Fat is sort of incidental here. High protein is the most important thing. Low carb is second most important, but it's a pretty close second.
You should try to eat at least as many grams of protein per day as yr body weight in lbs. If you weigh 150lbs, you should try to eat 150 grams of protein a day. Again, you will have to eat against yr food preferences, somewhat, to do this -- but, hey, at the end of the day, yr in or yr out. You gotta make a decision. (If you have the money to spend, you can buy Isopure protein drinks, which have 40 grams of protein, 0 grams of fat and carbs, and actually don't taste like shit... but they're about $4 apiece. Still $3 apiece even if you get them at a great sale price.)
Cardio is overrated. I train fitness models who maintain inhumanly low percentages of bodyfat, and, NONE of them do any significant amount of cardio.
Especially if you have an arrythmia, you should probably just stop doing cardio. Do you have any idea how little it helps, anyway?
I mean, TWO HOURS of walking, is enough to burn off ONE SLICE of pizza. Yep. Two hours = one slice. And most people get hungry from all that walking and eat a hell of a lot more than that.00 Reply

+1 yBecause walking can only do so much you need to do resistance training, and fast cardio, also make sure you're fuelling your body enough and getting your metabolism faster which has to be done by eating more often and frequently-- healthy of course.

Asker+1 yI have arrhythmia, so doing cardio is impossible for me. My normal resting heartbeat is 130, if I did cardio, it would be way over 200.
Diet and you also plateaued. Plateau where your body just got used to the daily routine and you've noticed a flatline where nothing changed. The body is amazing thing how it quickly adapts to anything, so change your routine and don't always stick to walking every 4 hours... go shock your body and put some new routines, especially your diet and throw more than twice a day. You're causing your body to store more food to conserve energy where your metabolism starts slowing down to achieve storing. I suggest speaking to a fitness advisor and/or nutritionist to know more on how to loss weight and look good.

@Rufus335 yeah totally agree with you to incorporate that, but not sure where this person stands overall (i. e., knowledge in health, diet, and workout experience) apart from what was said, hence best to consult with professionals. Clearly she's been doing things based on myths or on her own for 3 years without progress and having professionals that advice her better since they know what her limitations/capabilities are and start from there, slowly. Not everyone knows where to start, as you have noticed, she's doing things that are counter-productive (long cardio versus high-intensity; fasting versus whole, healthy food incorporated with regular exercise; etc.) for weight loss and probably the notion and/or fear of getting ripped versus toning if she does weight training. I've spotted a few that went straight for those heavy lifts doing the same thing and doing more RMs than their body can handle on top of their techniques thinking they will shred & shed.
Asker+1 yI'm eating a bit more healthier and i'm eating less. I've lost 5lbs. I'm still walking a lot, at home, work, and school.
609 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Do you take medications? You may have a hypothyroid. It's also really possible the two meals a day you had weren't low enough for you to lose weight. I would talk to a family doctor or general practitioner. Four hours of walking is a lot.

Asker+1 yI take birth control pills, but that's it and I don't eat a lot at all.

I would try to count your calories to get an idea of how many you eat. If you eat much oil that can add a lot of calories of course. There's a good chance your thyroid isn't producing enough hormones. I would talk to a doctor for sure. If that's the issue they can give you more hormones in a medication.

+1 yDo more cardio work out like dancing or something that allows you to move your body more.
Also you need to drink a ton of water.
Also this might sound crazy but I sometimes wear a garbage back underneath my sweater when I'm working out. That shit makes me sweat a storm.
I also wear a lot of layers.
But water water water and your eating too less. You gotta eat healthy stuff.
Limit breads and rice to only once a day and what more veggies and fruits and lean meats.
I don't eat processed foods anymore and that's changed my life completely. Don't eat anything that comes in a box or plastic packaging. If you do make sure it has very little ingredients. Chemicals ruin your bod too.
Join zumba or watch work out dance videos on YouTube. Heck you and your friends should dedicate a time to dance every single day for an hour. That's what my girls and I did.
Keep track of everything you eat. Make a WhatsApp group with some people you trust and start logging in every thing you eat. That's how you keep track as well.
Hope I helped!14 Reply- +1 y
Does wearing lots of layers actually work? I want to try it, what exactly do you wear?
- +1 y
@Rebecca9090 I wear sweat pants, a tank top and then a sweater ontop. But for the trash bag method I rip a hole at the bottom of the trash bag and put my head through it and make two more holes for my arms, then put a heavy sweater on top and workout.

That will reduce water weight, but have no impact on fat loss. If she were bloated and wanted to drop it, that would help. If she needed to make some weight for a competition, i've done the sweat out the water.
If your goal is fatloss, it's actually counterproductive, you can't work out as hard or burn as many calories. You actually burn more calories if you're cold. - +1 y
@0112358 oh didn't know that.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yAre you drinking enough water? Eating a little bit two times a day doesn't sound good either. I eat small, balanced portions every 3 hours. Try eating foods with water in them ( broccoli, grapefruit, lettuce, etc.)

Chicken breast baked in the oven with no salt, and salmon are good source of protein but they are lean meats your body needs. If you are a vegetarian or something, there are other options.00 Reply371 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. https://youtu.be/tO3448BJUpw?list=PLqdC-dTJeFEcTNk4bgmhNIFb2wc1JTzrS
Might help to shed some light on your situation.
I would recommend starting a workout with weights in conjunction with your walking.00 Reply
+1 yBecause your diet includes too many calories and you are fooling yourself. Go on a 1300 cal diet every day and count those calories everything you eat every morsel.
00 ReplyBirth control pills cause weight gain. Get off your pills. Fat doesn't cause you to gain weight.. sugar and carbs do. Cut back on carbs and sugar. Start doing interval training.

Asker+1 yMostly fruits, veggies like tomatoes, carrots, peppers, green veggies and potatoes, a little bit of chicken, soups, sushi, and rice. I'm not a big fan of meat, milk, or onions though

150 you should be able to lose on 1500 calories a day with 4 hrs walking. unless you're sitting the rest of the day
try 1500 exactly, for a week, if there is a difference keep eating that amount until you stop loosing, then lower it a bit, If here is no difference on 1500 then thats your maintenance amount. you need to eat less than that to lose, and later maintain your lower weight.
you're moving well, and eating healthy food. so whats left is getting the amount exact.
+1 y$10 says you aren't eating right

Agree on the eating and weight training.
If she was doing the 4 hours of walking on top of weights/eating right, it would be helping - it may not be intense, but it's a lot of calories. The problem is she only does light cardio and eats very little protein, so her body has cleverly turned into a super low metabolism so she can maintain that long walking at minimal energy expenditure. - +1 y
