Is it bad to have carbs in the morning?

I had a large bowl of cereal (Kashi GoLean) and a peice of whole wheat toast with half organic peanut butter and half of it with Manuka honey. I know I probably shouldn't have had the cereal but I am going on a 6-mile run and doing weight lifting so I wanted to get some energy. I am trying to lose weight though. Should I have only veggies and protein the rest of the day after my workout? I was thinking of making a green juice with kale and spinach and snacking on celery, carrots, and cucumber. And for protein some lean ground turkey.
Is it bad to have carbs in the morning?
