I only ate ONE stick of celery after I had fried rice but my weight went from 80.7 kg to 83.4kg?
P. s I know I'm fat af so I'm trying to lose weight before I turn obese (for my height I'm just over weight)
WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THE SCALE! Your weight, especially as a girl/woman is constantly fluctuating. Just about anything can effect the numbers you see on the scale from hour to hour, day to day. Obviously a hearty meal and drink can show up on the scale, hormones and your period can make you gain as much as 4-5 pounds before/during your cycle, you could have water retention/water weight hanging around, the volume of waste in your system, muscle gain, fat gains, and on and on. Do not weigh yourself all day long. It will only be a disappointment to you because during the day you naturally go up and down in numbers. If you must weigh yourself everyday, do it at the same time every day, in your birthday suit (god forbid the weight of your clothes should add to the scale), preferably in the early morning before you've eaten. More realistically though do it only once a week so you can actually see progression rather then worry about the minutia of hour to hour kgs gained/lost.
It's normal to gain weight through out the day. Hell if I weigh myself in the morning and then that night I usually gain 5 pounds or so but the next morning I'm less than I was the morning before. You are going to weigh more throughout the day and that's normal and why you should at most weigh yourself only once a day. Now if over the course of 7 days or so, weighing yourself at the same time every morning, you notice some weight gain then adjust your diet and exercise accordingly
Some wise words about weighing yourself. DON'T WEIGH YOURSELF OFTEN! Weighing yourself often is just going to make you depressed and paranoid. Only check your weight once a week and in the morning right after you wake up and before you eat or drink anything.
The fact that you ate anything is the only thing that can make you gain weight in that amount of time.
That's pretty normal. After I work out and eat my weight usually goes up by 6lbs or 2-3kg. Your weight will fluctuate through the day. Try to weight yourself once a day preferably a few minutes after you get out of bed before you drink or eat anything and after you use the restroom.
Water retention causes people to gain what they seem like actual body mass very fast.
Weigh yourself at the same time, every morning, before you have eaten, drank anything, or gone to the bathroom. This is an accurate measurement of how your body changes.

weighing urself multiple times during a day isn't healthy. it will end up making u stressed, and starving urself, which will later result in binge eating :|. weigh urself empty stomach in the morning after using restroom. u tend to be heavier as the day comes to an end since u have had 3 meals and snacks. fried rice contains white rice, oil and salt. all these things cause water retention and bloating which shows as increased weight. eat healthy and dont stres surself
Stop obsessing over the number on the scale, it's extremely inaccurate and doesn't tell you a thing about how much of that weight is muscle, bone, water, or fat. The reason you gained weight after taking a shower is because your body and hair actually absorbs the water. You'll always be heavier after a shower compared to before, but it's entirely water weight. Fat tissue doesn't appear so suddenly.
You do realise that body weight depends on when you last went to the toilet, if you've eaten recently, clothes your wearing, etc. After eating obviously that is going to be sat in your stomach and when you weigh yourself you're going to be a little heavier.
You really need to stop weighing yourself so often.
The best time of day to weigh yourself is in the morning when your body has just woken up and you don't have any food inside you or anything like that.
You need to weigh yourself in the same conditions each time. Best time is when you first wake up, before eating & with minimal clothes. Food & drinks have weight to them, & if they're sitting in your belly, it's going to add to your weight.
Water weight, or weight from eating, although eating 4 pounds of food seems a little unrealistic. Hydrate yourself more so you don't keep water weight.
Water weight. You have to weigh yourself in consistent conditions, so crap, piss, not have anything inside your stomach, and have all your clothes off if you want proper readings.
You can't weigh yourself like that because of course throughout the day your weight will fluctuate depending on what you've ate or drank and how much you have in your stomach when you weigh yourself. Try to weigh yourself once in the morning but I'd even wait and weigh every few days.
How much water have you had? I highly doubt you gained 2 kilos in a day. More than likely, your scale is imbalanced.
You fluctuate 5 lbs (4 kg), on average, every day.
This is normal. To get a better idea of your weight loss journey, try to limit your weigh ins to either daily or weekly.
Your weight fluctuates throughout the day. 2kg isn't a big deal it's either water weight or poop. Eat some fiber and drink some water , it'd most likely go down a few hours after that.
Yeah, you can gain a lot throughout the day. A few weeks ago I weighted myself in the morning at 120 and then when I weighed myself in the afternoon I was 126
Most people gain weight in over 2 hours. This is good.
Go take a crap and you'll lose it.
water weight, don't go on the scale till tomorrow
