I have been taking kinesiology class (kickboxing and weight training) and before that I was not flexible much and once I've been doing the exercises (without much stretch) I became more flexible. Does exercise help?

I never exercised before doing Kickboxing and Weight training.
no, not by a significant amount.
building a lot of muscle will actually reduce your overall flexibility.
if you want to increase flexibility, you need to stretch everyday, and not just 10 second stretches, hold them for like 40 seconds to a minute.

No but it improves your strength to sack really hard OP and make them force fumble at one yard line
I don't exercise and I can do the splits. But I might not be the norm.
