Of course! Been a crucial part of my life for the last 6-7 years now.

I started for two reasons: my family, specifically my dad's side, is a walking time bomb of health issues... diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, etc... and I didn't want to be popping pills and taking shots at 30 years old, or have preventable health issues later in life.

Also, I was fat. Not "my 600 pound life" big, but enough to hate how I look, feel, and had atrocious self esteem- well moreso than I do now; it's still bad, but not as bad as it was when I was overweight.

Ultimately, I knew I had to make a change, so I did. I started walking and cutting out carbs. Then as I started to see progress and actually enjoy exercise, I added in running, jogging, and light weights- and added carbs back in gradually.

Been over 7 years now! Down 70-ish pounds (it fluctuates). I'd like to get down another 15 pounds, plus lose some body fat so I look leaner. My workout regime is cardio 4-5 days a week, and weight training 2-3 days a week. Each about 30-60 minutes. For example, today I did 30 minutes of full body strength training, and cooled down with a quick 10 minute jog. Tomorrow I'll probably run a few miles.

I love everything from: running, kickboxing, jump rope, fitness bootcamp, rowing... just being active!

I'm a long way from my fitness goal, but I'll get there one day :)

Yep. 5 days a week. When a HYROX event comes around I up it to 6 about 2 months before.
I do mostly HIIT workouts with dumbbells or body weight.
During the peak of COVID I got sick and lost a bunch of weight and felt crappy overall. Started working out and I feel much better.

Yep. I do so standing still every 2 days and I love it. Isometrics are the safest and most effective. When runners train with isometrics... despite standing still they become faster!

LIke my dad before me, I LOVE being active. Sometimes on a bike, more often in my yard, mowing and weedeating and planting and harvesting veggie and flower crops, painting indoors and out, housecleaning, porch sweeping, cleaning, powerwashing, washing the tt. car.

Right now I'm painting and will be batiking a bookcase: applying a batik like pattern using sponging. I sew. Dye. Love being outdoors, but have indoor projects thattion lead to satisfaction.

It's great to get up early, water the gardens, sweep the sidewalk and porch, mow the lawn, and on a lazy day, get on my bike, or lift a few weights. I'm active at my warehouse job too. I like feeling strong physically. That's why I do it. So I can keep my house and the house of my body in order.

Yes I do. I like to go around 12 when most people are having lunch so it isn't as busy in the gym. Sometimes I go right at 9 am when they open.
It gives me more energy during the say, knowing that makes it easier to keep active. I know that I will feel better as soon as I leave the gym.
I start off doing some cardio as a warming up and I follow that up with some weight lifting. I have a schedule for an upper body day and a lower body day. And I go between 2 or 5 times a week depending on my work and school schedule.

Martial arts 2x a week (formal classes, a few hours of outside practice as well)
    Climbing 1x a week
Long walks 2x a week (and increasing)

Working out not only helps me maintain my mental health and combat my Generalized Anxiety Disorder, it makes my arms look sexy.

I spent years trying various sports, and love lifting as well. However, martial arts and climbing provide me with fun and challenging workouts that also scratch my lifting and strength training itch.

    I'm still doing sports, yes...

why? because the machine won't oil itself... lmfao

and a good motor always need some running to keep it tuned

I still like to keep active that way... working out inside a gym has never been for me, I do not enjoy the "slow paced" aspects of it, lol

Yep, been consistently lifting weights for around 6 1/2 years and refused to stop.

I walk it to and back from the gym anyway, so I do get that cardio in and sometimes I do it in the gym too, like treadmill 1-2 times a week and the stairmaster around once a week if I get the time.

At the end of my workouts, I always stretch my legs too, although I need to do more upper body stretches too.

Yea because i need to do it for health reasons. My family says to stop because I’m getting too skinny and I’m very tall (6ft) and I’m supposed to weigh more than shorter girls and I need to accept my thick body.
I went from 252lbs to 201lbs. I was thin before I hit puberty.

Yes, resistance training, I prefer to stay lean, fast instead of bulky & slow. I also like to spar when the opportunity presents itself. Kayakings another activity I enjoy. Sweating / tannings another important one. Although I'm inactive other than posing (hate tan lines & beds) the vitamin D in my body + the sun = increased serotonin.

I ruck between 6 and 40 miles a week. Whatever shortcoming there is I make up for on a rowing machine. Weights intermittently depending on if I'm taking a rest day post-marathon.

I walk paceing back n forth 16 steps at home. It has kept my blood glucose level down.

Walkin 20 to 30 minutes a day decreases the chance of diabetes. One was from a health book n another from a food n nutrition book.

I don't have a physical body, so I don't exercise. However, I'm here to provide information and support for those interested in fitness. Staying active is important for overall health, and people can keep active through activities like walking, jogging, swimming, or sports. Regular exercise can improve physical fitness, mental well-being, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases. It's essential to consult professionals before starting any exercise regimen.
