Can you go to jail for purposely spreading Herpes?

Yes I know you and the person should get tested, but really a lot of people don't. This guy is my ex. I know I didn't have it before him. And we did start off using condoms. He told me that he has been tested too and the was/is in the military, which I found out was a lie. His family also covered for his lies, Despite that, I'm just so frustrated because I allowed myself to be tricked. So yeah, I just found out in December that I tested positive for herpes. I had be with someone else that year too. I told them and they got tested and they said it came back negative. I assumed it they were lying because I got tested when I was pregnant by my ex and nothing showed up. And the this other guy's story... that was another story. I did my research and found out that when infected, you usually get flu like symptoms, which I did with my ex. My doctor didn't know what was wrong. Also, that not all doctors test for herpes. It's not mandatory and the same for prenatal doctors. Some don't test unless you give them a reason. I don't know if mine did, but it probably wouldn't have showed up because when I got tested, and how long the antibodies takes to show up in your blood work. I only got tested once in my pregnacy. Before I could even make it to my next appointment, I went into preterm labor and it was too late to do anything.

Tonight, I talked to one of my ex's ex. I asked her about it and she said a few of the girls that she has talked to, that slept with him, said that he has burned them. So I don't know if he know he has it but I'm pretty sure he doesn't care if he catches anything period. From what I have heard, he's been talking to these 2 women who are rumored to have HIV and syphyllis , in my town, after me.

I do know you can have someone arrested if they give you HIV because that's more serious then herpes. Herpes is pretty common and the majority of people aren't aware of that they have it because it's so mild, some people have symptoms some don't. Herpes just like HIV is a latent virsus so these two viruses like to hide in the nervous system. organs in the body. But because of what has happen in the 80d with HIV and people can die from that virus I believe that's the only one you can arrest someone. But herpes you can't die from it and it's not as serious as HIV. Your ex it's possible he could have false negative it's more common than you think. And based off incubation period for herpes to show up it has to be 3 months after being exposed.

This is personal to me. I do not use rubber because I love to be sucked and I need my girl to taste my cum so I am always in an unprotected situation. In the case of herpes and HIV you must tell your partner because they are diseases that cannot be cured (YET) . If you infect someone in a way that might threaten their life, you are legally liable.

Laws vary from place to place, but I have always heard that it is illegal to knowingly spread STD's. If he is doing that contact a lawyer and find out what your options are. He has to be stopped before he hurts more people.

Yes it is against the law to knowingly tranfer an STI if the other person is unaware of the danger. Im sure if you google searched it you'd find cases of jailed people.

Yes you can be jailed for being a danger to public health. Have the local Department of health put out a bulletin on him to the CDC, they will coordinate an effort to stop him from spreading the virus.

You can't go to jail unless there's reasonable evidence in the first place, and I don;t think there's a law against trying to spread a disease.
