Personally, I couldn't. Since it's incurable I would end up getting it and that's not something I'd be willing to have for the rest of my life. It's more common than I thought.

This question is pretty ignorant. There are 2 types of herpes, which, herpes type 1 is not an std. Many children have it. Hell, as many as 90% of American adults have been exposed to it, and there is no stigma to having a cold sore (which is technically herpes). Don't rule people out just because they might've inherited something as a child, completely unrelated to sex or anything else. Grow up!

Not 90% HAVE it, they've been exposed and have antibodies in their systems from the virus. I understand not going for someone with Type 2, but a lot of people have Type 1 and it's really not a big deal.

I wouldn't. I can't fathom the fact a piece of somebody would be inside me infecting my body. I can't hospital visits or prescriptions of any kind. This, I cannot do.

80% of adults have herpes, so it's very likely that you'll marry one who has it, maybe he doesn't even know... maybe you have herpes and you don't know :/

It's only cureable if you treat it before the first occurance of sores... ones those sores heal, it remains dormant.

Well 90% of people have HSV-1(this includes people who have never kissed so if you've ever kissed you should be assuming with almost complete certainty that you already have it). and more than 1 in 6 have HSV-2.

So it's kind of hard to screen either of those out since the vast majority that have either or both have no symptoms. When you ask for a STI test they do not test for HSV-1 because they already assume you have it and don't even bother talking about it.

Depends which one. Almost everyone has HSVP 1 which is in the mouth. HSVP 2 I think is the one on your genitalia.

They're actually pretty similar lol HSVII has been found in the mouth. It's less common, but still possible.
