Is your period supposed to last 13+ days?

okay this is like totally a tmi moment but i don't know what else to do. So my period still hasn't stopped and I started it 13 days ago. It's not coming out a lot but sometimes it comes out stringy. I have never had this before? Is this normal?

If it happens again, see a doctor. You may not feel super comfortable talking to your mom, but when it comes to serious health issues, you can't take the risk of not getting help just because you feel uncomfortable talking about it. You could always make a doctor's appointment by yourself, but if not, you'll have to tell your mom that you need to see a doctor. She may not always be easy to talk to, but she cares about you, and she wouldn't want you to risk your safety to avoid a conversation with her.

I wouldn't say it's normal, but i suppose it depends on how long you've been menstruating? Like if this is your first year or something then i guess i can understand, otherwise it seems rather odd to me. I recommend talking to your doctor about it, or school nurse, just to be safe.

If it is, then I would say it's normal. It takes a few days until it stops.

But if it's not, then it's not normal. It's supposed to last 3 to 5 days.

My periods used to be around 2 weeks long and would come every few months. I talked to my mom and we went to the Dr. and she helped me. Now i'm on birth control and I have normal periods. I recommend seeing your Dr.

no you should check the food you're eating. Mine are short, like 3 to 4 days max. Just workout or run. I can normally work mine off completely. So i never even get mine when i workout enough.

I believe, due to a very traumatic event, my period lasted about 11 days once, only once. So, it could be nothing, but better safe than sorry... Tell your mother.

No. If you just started recently (past 6 months ) then you're just irregular. I've had 2 in one month & skipped some completely. You need to visit an OBGYN if this continues
