Period is 12 days long and not stopping?

As the title says, my period has reached the 12th day, and it isn't stopping. Twelve days after my last cycle, I got my period again (which is now this one that's not ending). I'm not on bc, and periods used to always be regular. My doctors aren't really hearing me out. However I kept going back because it's made me feel really weak. It's a struggle to do anything, and even when I'm doing something, I feel like I'm either going to pass out or fall asleep. I'm now about to get my blood tests results. I am also waiting for ultrasound results.
At the start of this period, the colour was dark brown, and there were so many blood clots. For the past week or so, the blood has gone vibrant red, and the texture of the blood is not like my normal periods (not as heavy and "liquidy"). Does anyone know what might be going on? I'm really worried

You could be stressing yourself out with the overthinking. Especially if you’re googling those symptoms and getting all these different causes. I experienced an especially long period a few years ago and was so stressed about it, exhausted at work to where I could barely keep my eyes open and checking constantly for any sign of the end. When I told my mom about it she said it happened to her once in her 20s, and something about her telling me that really eased my mind and the bleeding stopped like 2 days later.

If you're on birth control it really f**ks you up as well as certain medication! I had a birth control which was an implant and I didn't bleed for 3 months then bleed constantly for 3 months. Wait for the results to come back. Stress doesn't help so maybe try and relax, easier said then done but better than worrying about nothing. I do hope everything is okay though.
