I don't know about where you live, but I can get 5kg of potatoes for like 5.99, vs a dozen donuts that are on average the same price.
When's the last time you grew processed foods for free in your backyard/patio?
I think it is BS. Healthy food just doesn't give the same satisfaction as the fat-laden, sugar-enhanced sht that the corporations have formulated!!
There is a field of Science, about food formulation, just to entice, and make people want it, by adding things that make it taste better, feel better, and give you a chemical 'rush' from the sugar, or other things!!
Raw carrots, lettuce and celery with a Kale juice, Coconut water, OR a Warm, sensually satisfying greasy, cheesy Pepperoni Pizza with a Butter/Garlic crust and a nice cold Lager!! Which do you think most would pick? It's our nature to want the pleasure!!
yes it gives a very instant burst of joy, but after the rush, you feel like shit.
Is every cheaper side pizza unhealthy? Are the real italian pizzas unhealthy?
"Everything in Moderation" as they say!! It's not like you can't just LOVE the greasy pepperoni Pizza and beer, just not every day!!
Gods help you if you are with a 'Vegan'!! She will probably add YEARS to your life with the fruit juice purges, and Kale/Greens in everything, and FCK!! TOFU!!
Laughs!! No offense to Vegans!! I've dated a few, and they are wonderful people, just not like us innate Carnivores!! :)
You don't like stinky tofu? But I do hate when they use tofu to make burgers and other bs.
I know two REALLY wonderful young vegetarians, at work. Sadly, one is married, so OFF limits, but she is one of my 'tasters' when I try to work on vegetarian sht, because my mom is also vegetarian, and a cousin, too, so I need to have something at the holiday family things, for those two!!
The other, is single, really cute, and a little 'flirty'!! Maybe a little enticement, with food, a few dates? :)
Tofu, and these soy-based 'fake meat' is their go-to protein thing! FCK!! I HATE TOFU!! But if you get the Extra-firm, and press it dry, with paper towels, and then slice it, and season it with curry, some spices, and pepper, it is ALMOST, like something like a little better than Bologna!!
BS.
One of the biggest problems with Americans is portion size. It's part of the reason we, as a nation, are such disgusting hambeasts.
You eat decent food, it doesn't take as much to feel full. Unlike stuffing your gullet with Twinkies and potato chips.
Healthy food is definitely more expensive than junk food. A 12 pack of ramen costs like what a dollar? Whereas just 4 bone in skin on chicken breasts are 6 dollars and something like a pound of zucchini is a dollar. The ramen gets you 12 meals. The chicken maybe gets you 8 and the zucchini gets you 1 or 2.
this is true. However you can't compare meats pricing with carbs pricing. But where I live smallest pack of worst flavoured ramen here costs like 50 cents. Mean while real pasta costs like 1.99 for 900grams. That's like 3000 - 4000 calories vs 4 packs of ramen for only 1000 calories.
Boxed pasta is 79 cents a pound here
It depends on how you're shopping. If you're buying healthy food and junk food for the fam, it's expensive. But if you stop buying the crap and focus on the healthy it's not anymore expensive. Especially if you visit a farmers market.

It's just another excuse for fat people.

Thats bs. Buy the stuff when it's on sale and save your money. I haven't grown a vegetable garden in a long time.

You can get a 300g bar of chocolate for £1or 250g of cherries for £3.50 in my local supermarket. It's no surprise that parents go for the chocolate.
