How long does it take for an antidepressant to work?

i started on allegron/nortriptylene two and a half weeks ago. Since then I haven't seen any change in my depression but I believe the medication is causing me to feel more depressed and irritated. I don't know if these feelings will go away in time if it hasn't kicked in yet or if It's just not working in which case I will stop it.

I was on it for a short time to see if I had anxiety, it just made me more moody and I guess a bit more outgoing but not a huge difference. I started on a low dose and kept ramping up slowly. Tell your doctor it's making you more depressed, he may try another, add a bit extra dosage or just stop it. Either way more depression is a sign to immediately talk about it. The shitty thing about higher doses:
If I missed one, and i moved my head, everything in view would spin, driving home in the pissing rain is super fun on the hwy when you can't move your head or eyes lol, felt super sick, it just did so much more harm than good.

They can take between 3-4 weeks. Even longer depending on the person and medication.

I still using Asentra (sertenaline) pills and it worked after about 1 month
