Thoughts on the military diet?

Soldiers don't diet they eat a lot of food actually they just eat the right food, and they certainly don't stave themselves. That right food combined with rigorous daily training is what makes them strong and thin.

Well don't diet is my advice just consistently eat healthy and exercise that is the best thing you can do.

I think the biggest part of weight loss is calories. Especially if you're not very active, if it limits the amount of food you're eating, your body will burn excess fat in place of it. 10 pounds depends on the person/weight etc though.

Had one of my co-workers do it about 2-3 years back.

He's tall and was always feeling hungry on that diet. Him being hungry, put him in a foul mood. He was working out on top of that, and did lose a few lbs.

He quit the diet after a little more than 2 weeks. Gained it all back.

I don't believe in diets and certainly not those. Very often the weight loss in the first days is only water. It looks spectacular, but its fake because you don't loose fat. eat something salty and the weight loss is gone.

You would likely gain weight on a "military diet". It's a very misleading name.

update: so just looked it up and im not sure why you're eating Vanilla ice cream in this diet. You're kinda starving yourself and will likely gain the weight back almost instantly.
