I don't find it ironic because
1) that's not what the commonly misused word "irony" actually means
2) endocrinology is a lot more complicated than just "testosterone = manly"
3) food isn't sexist, it doesn't care which gender it is eaten by
4) I followed the link and it's actually quite a believable source by the standards of an internet discussion, which is refreshing.

Men being vegan has never struck me as making them any less 'manly'. I don't use someone's dietary choices, of all things, as a baseline as to how well they fulfill society's expectations of their gender.

I never saw it as being less manly. If anything it is kinda impressive that they can give up all the foods that I consider delicious and replace them with less tasty vegan alternatives.
