My tongue piercing?

I got my tongue pierced a week ago and I seem to still talk with a lisp and sound funny.when will this go away? mine is also closer to the tip of my tongue which I don't know if that's why maybe or if that's a problem? all I know is its very hard to eat any kind of solid food ...i feel like I'm never going to be able to eat normal again or talk normal

I can't give you an exact time frame because I've never had a tongue piercing. But I do know that piercings in and around the mouth heal more quickly than most other piercings. That lisp will go away pretty soon once you're used to the extra metal in your mouth. Plus I believe that when you get a tongue piercing, they use a longer barbell to start with, to allow room for swelling during healing. Once you're healed enough to switch to the shorter standard barbell, you should be fine. You'll probably be talking normally again long before that.

that happends I have mine pierced it will b back to normal soon. try to eat a lot of ice it really helps. and don't play with it till its better.

It's actually getting better if you can even think about tackling solid foods. The longer you have it in and stop thinking about it you will notice that its healing and you can talk, eat and drink as you have before.
