Over the last year I have lost around 15kg, which is not much in reality but it put me from overweight to in good shape and I haven't noticed much difference from the opposite sex, although its maybe coz I don't care since I've lost the weight while in a happy relationship. Although I do get people I barely know complimenting the weight loss. Now as for my ex, he did want me back but not because I lost weight (I don't know if he knows that) but because he didn't find a replacement after 4 months of singlehood.
Constant staring and guys saying especially stupid things to me. (They do that because guys are so visual but not usually so savvy with words). There ARE exceptions. It can make you feel self-conscious. You have to deal with more unwanted attention. Attention we get from being overweight is awful though, so pick your bad.
I'm not sure if you are planning to do this or what your target goal may be but if you lose a noticeable amount, the people in your life may start to treat you differently. This may cause you to feel resentful even though the loss is actually a positive thing.
I feel like most people treat me dismissively anyways no matter how good my personality is LOL I would say I have mid level self esteem but I'm still getting treated bad by guys and friends which leads me to defending myself and they don't like it when I stand up for myself so... I feel like if I lose weight for me another benefit would be weeding out all the assholes in my life.
Start weeding the assholes out NOW whenever possible. People are phoney and suck up to people who are good-looking. So they will be harder to spot when you improve yourself.
Thanks for MHO :)
I don't know, trying to lose weight myself so I can get back into the military. I'm not sure nor do I care if any guy reacts to my weight loss because I'm not losing for them, I'm losing for myself, the Navy and my health. If you're trying to lose weight don't do it to get your ex (or any guy) back. Lose it for yourself!
I was fat all through school and lost weight in college. I got asked out by numerous people who used to tease me in school.
Telling them no and blatantly showing how disgusted I was with them was the best feeling I've ever had.
A lot of people (including myself) choose to lose weight while in college, I think that's cool.
Most didn't really notice... Not exactly the reaction I was hoping for, but it is what it is.
A few of my female friends were surprised by it, but they pretty much just acknowledged it. They didn't even compliment me or anything. My guy friends did the same thing.
However, I didn't get any sort of newfound popularity with the girls at my school or anything like that. Over 100lbs and not even a "Wow, you look good!". :/
That's quite an achievement! I'm surprised no one made any kind of deal over it.. congrats from me:)
@peachblossomluck
yeah, thanks lol
so i used to be more muscley and bout 20 pounds heavier, but i was hit in a car accident that broke my jaw and messed neck up really bad and just had me bed ridden for a long time. I lost weight obviously and girls are always asking me when i'm gunna get bigger again. I think girls like how we look more than we think they do lol.

Well I never lost weight. I used to be really skinny, and now I've gained weight and more muscle. I dont notice anything in real life but I have more girls commenting heart eye emojis on my selfies lol
Lmao suddenly the ones who were douchey wanted to get to know me better and I don't know people are so fake you really start to see right through them. But whatever it's human nature I guess.
Well i went from fat, to skinny, to well muscular and fit.
In my experience girls stare and check you out sooo much more, people of both gender pay you more respect and i also get a lot of girls sliding in dms
Since I've lost a lot of weight, guys have been asking me out more and approaching me MUCH more than they did back when I was heavier. My ex likes a thick girl which I am no longer so no he didn't try to get back with me.
Who cares how exes will react? If that's your picture, I can tell from your face alone that you're health is going to take a toll.
Google how overweight you need to get to be at risk for type 2 diabetes. Compare it to yourself. Dare you.
I got loads of compliments when I slimmed down last year. But no exes made any moves. Of course, I'm married, hey.
Positively, I got a lot more compliments but I also lost a few female friends
I've actually never really lost weight I'm always at a constant 145 ish weight, all muscle, single digit body fat.
I've always been at my weight, which is relatively thin. But why do you care about exes?
Girls i used to talk too are the last thing on my mind.
It was amazing the amount of attention I got from females, and yes, two exes expressed interesting in "catching up and spending time together".
Was awesome. :D
That hasn't happened to me, an ex getting back together with me. But I have felt more confident with myself than before recently then a few months and years ago :)
They were disgusted because skinny men aren't attractive.
The right women don't care about body type. They did you a favor.
i ended up getting more attention from guys but i think the most important thing is that you become more confident in yourself :)
I like thick women it's cute i think
The noticed for sure
I m always the same
It's ok.
I didn't
