Hey, everyone! I want to be a dermatologist when I'm older, and I really want to help people out with skin problems (mainly having to do with the face) because if you have nice skin, you can feel confident about yourself. :] I just want people to be happy with themselves. :D So, I thought I might be of use by asking everyone on this site if they need help with resolving some skin issues! Please don't be embarrassed or anything, I'm here to help! ^_^

Use a cream or another product that contains vitamin E. there a quite a lot of these products available. Skin brighteners helps even out skin tones and until these products start to take effect wear some tinted moisturizer which is very light and won't clog your pores or wear a powder like bare minerals or covergirl loose powder. hope that helped. good luck

I have really open pores and I want to get them to a less noticeable size (a lot of my friends think I have freckles, but it's actually the pores and I'm kinda embarrassed by it.) I use a toner and that helps a little, but is there any thing else I could do?

1)Exfoliate 1-2x a week.St.Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control Apricot Scrub has Salicylic Acid in it.The scrub itself will slough off dead skin cells(which can clog pores and cause a large appearance).The Salicylic Acid will absorb excess oil and unclog the pore.You can't physically alter pores but it helps:)))

2)Use Queen Helenes Mint Julep masque once a week,it unclogs pores.

A natural remedy is lemon juice! :D I use it all the time! It also helps with minor blemishes, redness, and blackheads! ^_^ And thanks Evangelina for your help! :]

You can buy natural lemon juice and pour some on a cotton ball, a q-tip, or yes, even your fingers, and rub it all over your face. Another method is actually buying a real lemon, cutting a slice off, and rubbing it all over your face for a while. :) You can do this with a tomato as well! :D

I get ingrown hairs like crazy (on my face) I try to not shave to close but when I do I might was well not even shave because Ill have five o'clock shadow very shortly after. I got a shaving cream at bath and body works and it has helped a little. What else can I do? Thanks!

Alrighty, well first off, it IS a good idea not to shave so close! Also, try not to shave against the grain of your hair growth. :] Another idea is to *not* shave over that area more than once because this will further irritate the ingrown hairs. :( This next method is a little more tedious, so if you're up to it, go ahead and give it a try! :) Now, if you can see the ingrown hairs, apply a very warm and damp cloth to your face until it cools or after about 15 minutes. Then, dip some tweezers

Well, it may actually help if you let it be because it can naturally go away. :) But, a remedy that can help is (I say it once again) yogurt! It has lactic acid which can get rid of bumps on the hair follicle. Also, increasing your intake of fatty acids and vitamin A is a great way to treat it! :) Getting out in the sun, moisturizing, and using a mild soap can help as well!! Good luck!

No,but I used to.Then I went to a dermatologist and was Prescribed Accutane.My skin is better and I'm on my 2nd month with 80mg a day:)))

Hmmm, I would try the ointment neosporin because it contains an ingredient called neomycin! Also, use antibacterial soaps and try to wear loose, cotton clothing! :) Good luck!

It could be a yeast infection.. Try plain yogurt as well! :) If it doesn't go away after a while, I would recommend seeing a doctor. If a doctor isn't handy, I will definitely do more research and try my best! Good luck! :)

What would you do for acne scars on the face?

I have some and some are very noticeable on my neck, but a lot of them are small on my face.

Honey is a great way to heal acne scars (and treat acne)! Honey, I recall hearing, has over 500+ enzymes that cannot be created by man, so thank you bees! :) Good luck, and let me if it is or is not working for you! :)

Just put a small coat where the scars are. Don't cake it on, but don't let there be hardly any honey on your face. :) Massage it in and leave it on for about 20 minutes, then rinse off. Usually, if I have an unfortunate "friend" on my face, I put some honey on it and stick a band-aid over top and go to bed with it on. :) Works wonders! :D Good luck!

Oh, well, I learned a lot by experimenting with many things I researched over the year. I know I'm under 18, but I have a burning passion to help! :] So, experience-wise, I just ask some people to participate in certain methods I use to help treat certain problems. If it doesn't work, I manipulate the method a little bit, or I try something different. :)

This is going to sound VERY strange, but get plain low-fat yogurt from the store, dip two fingers in the yogurt, and massage it into your face and let it dry at least once every day until you see results. :) It took about three weeks for some results to show, but stick with it! Good luck! :D

Alrighty, well yogurt actually has antibiotic properties. The "bacterial culture" your talking about is actually "good" bacteria if you know what I mean. Also, the lactic acid stimulates sebaceous glands, reduces redness, and destroys bacterial colonies. :) Hope I helped! Thanks for asking!
