Try try try wendy chants fitness plan "Conquer the fat loss code" it's a book that includes an ideal meal plan with no starving, excercise regimin and so much more. It'll teach you about how your body stores fat , how to boost your metabolism and how to get away with eating fatty junk foods on in a certain pattern so you don't store it. I tried it cause I had an extra 10 I wanted to loose and in a month in a half I actually lost 30. no starving yourself and everything in it makes sense. She's a nurtritionalist/female body builder and the books only 10$ what more could you ask for? GOOD LUCK!
First, find some kind of cardio exercise that you don't hate doing (running, biking, swimming, DDR), and do that for at least a half-hour every day. The only exception to this should be on days where you lift weights, which I also recommend. Lifting weights burns a hell of a lot of calories.
As far as eating, the main thing to keep in mind is that you're aiming for calories in < calories out. Keep your sugar and carbs intake on the low side (however, do have some carbs in the morning, but keep them low for the rest of the day). Always, ALWAYS have water nearby- this will whet your appetite and keep you healthier if you just drink it whenever you look at it.

Hey! I am in the same boat that you are I am weighting in at 250.. I started doing what your doing awhile ago because of something my dr told me. andyways what I do is run five miles a day and then eat everything with fruits and veggies.. I havbve been doing it a month and went doen two sizezs!
p90x is a great work out, but beware it will kick your ass the first week or so, but as long as you keep at it and don't give up, it's not that bad. If you don't want to do p90x, then all you have to do is change your diet, eat healthy, and work out some and you will start losing some weight.
No that's why I don't have money and I do want to but I lack motivation for things like this. I'm not a persistent person. I've tried 3 times and got bored and gave up. That's why I posted this question hoping maybe I could get some real personal advice on what I should do for eating and stuff too. I also wanted this question featured but that didn't happen for some reason.
Why are you even asking this question if your not going to do anything about it because your too damn lazy? Your not going to get in shape by sitting on the couch eating chips, it's going to take a hell of a lot of commitment to get into shape, so if your not committed save yourself the trouble and keep on doing nothing.
Because it takes knowledge to lose weight. You have to do it right. You can just go all crazy on how you eat and workout. That's a set up for failure. You can't just cut out junk food like it seems your saying. You'll crave it too much.
Say you get p90x it comes a nutrition guide it tells what you can and can't eat, and even gives you recipes. Or you can go to the book store and get these books called Eat this not That, those books are good if your not going to completely cut out junk food.
Change up your workout routine. Muscle memory is you're body's protection mechanism. At the same time, it screws you over when you want to lose weight. Always make sure you do something to challenge your body. A stagnant routine can counter-beneficial.

Well I'm a hockey player and what I do is an hour workout everyday.
But you probably want to start slower than that.
So go from 30min to 45 then to an hour
You want 15 min of cardio (bike elypitcal jogging) NO walking
Then fill in the rest with something for your upper body.
I do something with my arms and shoulder and then stuff for my stomach.
as for eating this works for weight if your really dedicated.
Day one: Only drink water (I suggest vitamin water because there are many flavors.)
Day two: only water and fruit.
Day three: water, fruit, and STEAMED veggies.
Day four: water, fruit, veggies, and nuts (plain no sugar)
Day five: Water, fruit, veggies, nuts, and fish.
After that you'll be very adjusted to that type of food so you won't want to eat unhealthly(:
I'm a fitness consultant and personal trainer here in NZ, and having spent time as an army nutritionist etc, I can help you if you would like a specific programme written out for you. I can also provide you with meal plans and can keep in touch to measure progress. If you would like help, go ahead and contact me. I'm happy to share knowledge.
what I do is volleyball, and what I eat that's healthy are carrots. seriously if I'm trying to lose weight or anything ill just carry around a bag of carrots all day and a water bottle, then ill just walk around my house in circles counting that as excersize lol it works for me though :) because you already know my eating habbits :) cut that back to straight carrots and... well you get results lol.
Ignore all of the diets and advice that you read in newspapers, books, magazines and online. There is one simple physical fact and that is that if your calorific input is greater than your output, you will gain weight. The only way to lose weight is to either exercise more or eat less - preferably both. You don't have to start running marathons or going to the gym, just cut out the high calorie foods and walk everywhere that you can for now. As you lose more weight you can move onto more energetic things. If you push yourself too hard you'll put yourself off doing anything. you'd be surprised how much weight you can lose by walking and cutting out high calorie foods. Learn what you are eating too. Did you know that the average Maccy D muffin is worth about an hour on an exercise bike at high resistance?
You can buy 2nd hand power90 workout DVDs off ebay really cheap. At first you can hardly do them and it seems like it'll never work but they get easier surprisingly quick and you will start to notice the results and feel good too. Get some resistance bands off amazon if you can. make the time to do them regularly and pretty soon it'll be a habit that you don't want to break.
stop eating pre-made food, cut out sugar. Drink lots of water swap coffee for green tea. Eat lots of vegetables.
Check out some stuff on Men's Health.com. Otherwise, you need to start drinking more water, cut back on fast carbs (sugars/ anything that isn't wheat based), and eat leaner meats. In terms of exercise, you need to find a balance between cardio and strength training (push ups, crunches, squats)
Since your a guy I think the best way to get in shape is to gain muscle and lose fat. Here's a really good website I found I thinkll help you its easy to follow and he tells you what to eat and what excersises todo :)
At 270, I don't think building muscles is necessary. His body has adapted to carrying 270lbs around all day, and therefor he does have a significant amount of muscle. It's all about cardio (increased heart rate for long periods of time), which is all about time/effort put in. Strength training is for people trying to bulk up.
if you're too used to food with a lot of salt or sugar in then un-processed food will seem pretty bland in comparison. You might have to detox yourself of the bad stuff before you can appreciate the good stuff. this might be why you don't "like" it.
I've already commented on this but just so you know on Youtube, you've got loads of exercise videos.. ;) (just type abs squats or whatever exercise it is you feel like doing)
Well if you cut back on your food save some cash, buy some diet pills, eat like a pig and lose weight... or you could exercise more go for a walk everyday morning and evening...

Don't I need money for that? Like for the workout stuff for it.
Yes but its not that expensive for the equipment
Lol If I had more than some pocket change then maybe I'd be good.
Well can't help you there, but if you really wanted to get back into shape you would find a way, do you have a job?

Well being lazy isn't going to help you, and neither will junk food.
Duh. lol

I've seen those. Yahoo posts articles based on them all the time.

Probably. I basically have a whole life of the bad stuff.

The best way is to run and dance
