Are all teenage girls immature?!!?! is it normal at that age?

I'm 16, never had a girlfriend, consider myself straight, intelligent and very mature. I find almost every girl excessively immature, and I also find my mates behave the same way around them. They seem to have lots of fun, but I often seem to not 'fit in' because I don't make rude jokes etc etc, I'm also a bit shy, and for me to really let loose simply ALWAYS turn to alcohol (getting tipsy). my mates see me as the intelligent, gentle and genuine one of the group; Mr Balanced. I have yet to meet a girl not already in a relationship who is mature and you can have a decent conversation with, other than about sex and gossip.

is this unusual but nonetheless normal at my age? will they 'catch up' one day in maturity

There are mature and immature people at every age. It can be difficult to find someone that you click with intellectually, physically, personality-wise, maturity level, etc. but there ARE mature girls out there (even mature 16 year old girls). They might be a little more rare; or they might be right in front of your face, but they feel like they have to act immature, gossip, talk about sex, or whatever to fit in and are dying to meet someone who they can just be themselves around.

If you think that getting tispy is completely normal and call yourself mature, you're seriously confused. Mature girls don't want boys who are uptight until they get some alchohol into them. And maybe the problem is that you're just not meeting enough people, or that you just have to wait for the right girl.

I understand where you could be coming from with the alcohol part. however, in my years level, getting tipsy is on the mature end of things; seriously, almost everyone I socialize with, and even those who I don't will usually go beyond tipsy. thanks for the other suggestions tho, much appreciated :)

Are you kidding me? I am 26 and girls I meet up until these days are like that.

You got that mature thing going which is all great, but you need to have that fun side to you which you gotta bring out around girls. The fun side is gonna attract girls, while the mature side is what gonna make you boyfriend material.

Just being mature is gonna make you boring, while just being the fun guy is gonna make you a clown. Mix them both up.

They will catch up in maturity one day, man. You got a pretty darn good head on your shoulders, and you should keep it that way; despite what those other idiots think. It's good that you're mature, because a lot of girls I know would respect that consider it a big plus when looking for a boyfriend.

As for your dream girl, she'll pop up eventually; I still haven't found mine yet and I'm going on 20! So chill man, and enjoy the life of being single!
