Any cool new years ideas anyone?

I would appreciate some cool new years eve ideas.

We are planning to stay at home and invite a whole bunch of friends and eat, drink, mingle, play some board games or wii, or PS3 and stuff.

And maybe afterward we could go out to a bar, or a night club, but it seems every place has some new years program and cover charge.

Any other new years ideas that we can entertain while staying home, or even going out but without spending a whole lot on a cover charge or an entrance fee?

Every city has an official celebration of New Yeaar's, or several of them, open to the public for a minimal charge. I don't know what Milwaukee, Wisc. offers, but check that possibility out.

And some places have New Year's events without a cover charge, just the normal charge for food..

That sounds like a good night. Most clubs around here, sh*tty, PA charge a $15 covercharge which isn't really that bad. And some clubs may even do discounts for New Year's? Call around and ask about deals.

we are doing a white elephant, pot luck and karaoke...we have also decided to do a polar bear plunge either that night or the next morning

DO you live near a city? Because most cities have some kind of event planned that's free of charge. You guys could go enjoy music from local bands, enjoy the fireworks, etc
