Or going alone?
And why?
For me it helps to bring some friends along while I stand in the front to show who is boss. I also always go to gym in a golden speedo with glitter on it. This shows that I am very confident with my body no matter how it looks. Then when I enter, I start pacing around and work myself in an angry rage until veins are popping out of my forehead. Then I charge to the Olympic bar even if someone is using it and just glare at them and breathe really loudly until they stop and move aside. Then I start doing deadlifts while groaning as loud as possible: "HRRRGHHHHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BLELELELLE HRGHHH!!! LIGHT WEIGHTS!" Then I get my crew to high-five me and make sure everyone is watching.
When I enter a gym, I make it clear that I own the whole place so it helps to show up with my crew behind me and I'm like, "Yo, wassup! I'm here y'all!". It is all about me now when I enter. Everyone else is just in my way.
Also when people pose in the mirror, I like to move directly in front of them to obscure their view and start lifting. It's like, "Get that image outta my face. You should be looking at me now." You know, it's a confidence thing. Also self-love. It's like you gotta love yourself more than other people because if you love other people, then it's like you're cheating on yourself with someone else.
I also like to lift weights that are way too heavy for me from time to time. If I can't lift it, I just pretend like I got a cramp and complain very loudly. Then people get the impression that I'm really a badass because I'll continue in spite of it with a lighter weight like a true champion. Then my crew is like, "You got this, you're a champion! Don't mind that bicep tear!"
@DDpsy Hell yeah. I just bicep curled an entire six-pack of beer with one hand.
I like to go alone so I can stay focused on the next set ahead. A proper routine should be timed... so it doesn't really allow much time to socialise. Also the times I did go with a friend... we just ended up aimlessly competing with each other and doing random workouts for the heck of it... didn't really feel like a constructive day at the gym. No real targets to grow on and gauge my performance.
I definitely prefer going gym alone.
I don't mind sharing a ride to and from the gym. That's all. In the gym, I prefer that we mind our own business. I've got a routine planned in my head and having company usually screws up that routine.
Alone because everyone has different goals & are at a different place with their pace & how they workout so I prefer doing it alone so I can do it how I want

I'm a lone wolf in the gym. Being with friends for me leaves me feeling like you need to be social, talk, stick it out till they are done. I'd rather put headphones in, rock out, and decide what equipment i do, for how long etc
Because I have no friends...
Words can' bring meeee doooowwwwnnn...
No I am joking. Some of my friends are D-Bags and laugh if I can't lift as much as them.
always alone...
I feel depending on others will set one behind and I take my works dead serious.
I also love that it just my time.
Alone, I get bored if I'm there too long. I do what I gotta do and hit the door as soon as possible. I'm not their to socialize.
Alone. Friends distract me. I have set rest periods and stuff so yea... I take my gym training very seriously haha
I go with my friends and/or my sisters
I'm always meeting with a friend there so we both basically have a date we can't skip. But as soon as we are there, we do out own workout routine
Sometimes we can have a conversation while working out. If a guy becomes a pest, my friends can make comments. (There's strength in numbers.) ;)
With friends. I'm guilty of being lazy more than I would like to be. Friends motivate each other to go.
With friends, as long as they don't cause too much disruption.
Alone, because I ain't there to play around or looking for competition. Otherwise, they have to be a great trainer that knows how to get results fast or a fun female cheerleader.
Alone when i want to do my exercises without interruptions because it happens that i am busy after gym so i prefer to be fast and with friends when i can stay more time in there.
Alone. The amount of time spent on fucking around is directly proportional to the number of people you are friends with in that gym. It's good to have a spotter from time to time though.
I usually go alone but I don't mind bringing my friends over. Most of them arn't into that tho
when I first began I started going with friends, but I come to find that i wasn't making much progress with them until I started going on my own
I go with a few of my buddies so I can help them improve their PFT scores. #MARINES
It also give me time to improve myself as well. Win win situation.
Alone, so I can concentrate and have more time for myself.
Alone. I can stay as long (or short) as I want, do what I want. When I'm all sweaty and gross I don't feel much like socializing anyway.
When I was younger I preferred going with people because I saw lifting as more of a fun thing to do. Now I prefer going by myself so I can concentrate
Solo. I'm there to work my muscles, not my mouth or thumbs. That phone stays in the locker
