Trending & News No. There was a study that women's legs are about two-thirds as strong as men's. That is a smaller difference than the difference in arm strength (in which women's arms are about half as strong as men's) but still weaker than men's.
Even if women's legs are thicker, that doesn't prove anything. Some men have bigger boobs than some women, but it's almost certain that a small-boobed woman will be much better at breastfeeding than a big-boobed man is. Boob size doesn't change the fact that women have more developed breast tissue than men, and leg size doesn't change the fact that men have more developed muscle mass than women.
Most definitely not.
Woman know men like legs and asses therefore they try to make theirs how they think men would like. If they left it alone like most men do their legs and asses would be a sad sight to see as well.
Lolz
I dont think women have naturally thicker, bigger legs. If you sat down an average woman who's never worn heels or worked out and the same kind of man you'll find that they are quite the same.. take for example.. children
Nope. Women typically tend to store more fat in their lower bodies then men, and that isn't an indicator of strength at all.
Individual activity level matters the most. I would say on average that the average man and woman's legs are about the same in strength untrained... Men do gain muscle at a faster rate though.. and you're going to see the average male gym goer lift significantly more in squats and deadlifts than the average female. Part of this is a culture thing where more women are afraid to look too big then men, because they think they will look masculine
men gain mass easier and faster due to hormones like testosterone. It's genetic.
Some women out there can gain muscle a lot easier and faster than the average woman also, and if they are trained correctly they can compete with guys easily

"Men are, in general, more muscular than women. Women are just over half as strong as men in their upper bodies, and about two-thirds as strong in their lower bodies"
or if you want a better source:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8477683
"The women were approximately 52% and 66% as strong as the men in the upper and lower body respectively. The men were also stronger relative to lean body mass."

who cares about kicks? Unless you are in an incredibly trained professional, grappling and jabs/upper body strength is going to matter a lot more in a street fight than kicks. Kicks are also much more slower and punishing
Unless you're on a ground and unable to defend yourself or you're against someone who is a kicking expert, the average untrained person in a fight isn't going to be an effective kicker. Hell most trained martial arts professionals tell people to AVOID kicking excessively in a street fight.
I mean exactly what I say. Kicks come out slower and take longer to execute than punches, thus being easier to see and avoid.. And because of that, they are far more punishing and risky than throwing a punch if you fuck up and don't hit your target.
Anyway, my point still stands. No reputable source has proof that the average woman has more lower body strength than the average man. Just because someone's legs look bigger by judging from their pants, doesn't mean they are stronger. You'd have to see the actual definition without pants and see how much they lift as well as stamina from weight bearing exercises.
Again, the average man is genetically stronger than the average woman in upper and lower body areas, and have higher bone density to boot. THey naturally have more muscle mass as well, while women have higher body fat% and tend to store the majority of their fat in their lower body area (legs, hips, butt). Women also build strength and muscle mass slower than men do, especially in the upper body.
Trained women can be stronger than the average untrained man though.
Oh, you're serious. I thought this was a joke question.

Women have proportionally stronger legs. Men generally carry more strength in their arms and sholders. Whereas women have it in their legs.
Nope, that's a myth.

I haven't found a reputable study showing that the average woman have stronger legs than the average man. Seems pretty consistent that the average woman have 50% of men's upper body, and anywhere between 66-75% for lower body.
Not like that matters on an individual level. It will take longer for women to build strength and mass then men, mainly due to lack of testerone, but a trained woman can be stronger than the average man for sure
@MrNameless maybe that's true for the legs, I don't know, but there are studies that trained women are still weaker than untrained men, at least in regards to arm/hand strength.
@MrNameless
That is was I was saying... the carry a higher percentage of their strength in their legs. On average the legs are still weaker though.
Women have more lower body strength, which is a reason why they can have babies. Men have more strength in our chest and shoulders. That's just how we're made.
being thicker or heavier doesn't mean stronger. Difference in fat storage and muscle tissue cause this. Not strength.
No dont think so. Women store their fat at around their lower body. Hips, thighs etc.
Maybe thicker fat wise, but I don't think that means stronger.
If it's thicker and heavier wouldn't it have more power and strength?
@dudeertum21 You've gotta think of the muscles. I'm honestly not sure the muscle ration between men and women.
They are thicker for their size yeah but male muscle is stronger per pound
men have more muscular legs that women do
No. Not on average.
