Couple questions:
1) How long does it take to dissolve?
2) How long after insertion can you have sex? Some people say 24hrs, done say 3 days and some say a week.

OKAY, YIKE and YIKES! While it's not out of the rim of normalcy to have a regular yeast infection it concerns me that you are having so many. Are you douching or are you a diabetic? Both of those things can cause you to have frequent yeast infections. Also the prescription yeast infection treatment you have gotten is Diflucan and it actually takes 5 days before it actually starts treating those itching and burning symptoms and it comes with some not very nice side effects such as abdominal pain. Now as for the Monistat 1 Ovule, that ovule pretty much starts to dissolve the minute you hit the plunger on the barrel of that injector. Your 98.6 body temperature turns that ovule in to a liquid goo in within an hour. Also you know it's dissolved because it burns like pouring battery acid on your vulva. The Monistat 1 has more of the active ingredients that stop a yeast infection so that's why it burns so bad. This is why its best to use the Monistat 3 day treatment because its not as harash to the delicate skin down there. Also most doctor's recommend using it in conjunction with your period and using a pad. You definitely don't want to use a tampon. Which leads me to sex, because the Monistat 1 has stronger chemicals to kill the yeast it can leave you with chemical like burns in your vagina. I think I would be waiting at least a week before I put anything up there. I also recommend that if your gynecologist actually pull a smear on a slide of the discharge that's coming from your vagina. This is a super quick process and they usually have a microscope in the office that they can immediately tell if there are yeast molecules present on that glass slide. Best wishes.
I recently got an IUD so my hormones are all out of wack. I went to the doctor anytime I felt like I had one and I had one in December, March and now. Usually a few days before my period when hormones are really out of control. Currently I don't have and pain with it my only complaint is the leakage. I feel icky as the “goo” makes its way out
