How can I get over my fear of the dentist?

You might be better looming this up. But the best I can come up with is convince yourself that they are there to do their job and make sure you dental hygiene is healthy (This is true) but you may also get over it over time the more you go to the dentist and allow them to do what they do

if it's been a long time since you've been to the dentist you'll be happy to know that today's dental procedures are much less painful, in fact they are not painful at all... maybe just a bit uncomfortable. trust me I had a very bad fear of the dentist... so much do that I just never went in over 20 years until I finally had to. so just schedule an appointment and go head on with your fear and im confident that you will conquer your long overdue fear of the dentist

As for sedation dentistry unless all you are going for is a cleaning. If that is the case then I would say that your fear is irrational.

It helps to have some sort of muscle relaxer or anxiety medicine before hand
