What is my body fat percentage around?

bmi charts don't lie. The charts are true. Then you'll know. You look good, but bmi science will not discriminate that much lighter than you are will have a dramatic health improvement. We're such a fat country that anyone will tell you you're too thin. Bullshit.. just to excuse their overweight being. Just read the body mass index charts. Then understand that. Its true. Seriously. I'm 5 inches taller than most women, and yet they claim a girl 5'3" is healthy at 150. Christ that's obese by medical standards, not feel good emotional standards. Your choice, bmi charts and science verses fat making diabetic excuses. Pm if if you care to know the facts
Hi, I was 150 and 5'3 when I was an athlete. I might have been overweight, but most of it was muscle. I didn't have high blood pressure or any other medical condition. My weight didn't interfere with my day to day life. So I don't know. I even have a photo, and you can tell me if I looked obese to you :)
@Kas19 pm me. But an expert on this, it would be nearly impossible to be 5'3" at 150 no matter how much muscle you had. I understand muscle, height, bmi and weight. If you were were that short of height at 150 purely muscle, you'd be breaking universal records beyond any male boxer standing 6 to 10 inches taller than you at that weight. But I am open to this chat privately.
Friendly conversation to answer your questions.
@Kas19 nope. I will not answer based on your photo. You will be disappointed. And I dont take payments like a doctor just to lie and rope you along. Diabetes and weight issues are often treated by doctors prescribed medications. Doctors are convoluted and prescribe for job security. A fat doctor is of zero credibility to me
I can assure you, I won't be dissappointed by your answer. You could quite literally say 250 lbs and I wouldn't be offended.
I don't know wym by fat doctor. Idek what you're talking about tbh. But I'm glad you're passionate about it at least. I just don't think you fully understand it.
BMI is a good starting point but once you get into fitness and lifting the bmi numbers get screwed. I'm 6'1" and 186 in that photo and guarentee you I have less body fat than when I was younger and didn't lift and weighed like 175. I do know what you are saying though and bmi is a good starting point but not highly accurate.
yes. ! Thankyou. But bmi is an eye opener to regular people in denial. They just refuse to understand the medical science. The bmi is already calculating hundreds of thousands of people. Its already accounting for average people in history. Lean weight is highly critical. HIGHLY IN TERMS OF DISEASE. THE BMI ACCOUNTS FOR WEIGHT VERSES HEIGHT AND BODILY MEASUREMENTS. it detects by statistics, science, analogy that if your body measures larger than it should be,,, it is detecting too much fat. Linebackers in football think they're healthy. Science does not care how much muscle you have when suppressed by fat. You look healthy compared to American standards at 6'1" and 186 pounds, but, peak lean weight and science shows by scale how much you reduce health risk, that you could be 165 pounds. But then fat America tells you that you're too thin. Science truth is that they're too heavy. Pre diabetes does not lie or care what Americans think looks good. A girl at 5'3" at 150 pounds no matter how much muscle, no matter how much she works out is in denial. She is medically obese. MEDICALLY OBESE. A GIRL THAT SHORT AT 150 WOULD HAVE LIKE 2 PERCENT FAT AND WRIPPED LIKE SETTING WORLD RECORDS. HER PHOTOS CLEARLY WERE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE THAT. IM SORRY BUT PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND TRUTH, FACTS, STATISTICS AND PROVEN SCIENCE. LOOKING HEALTHY IS BASED ON OUR OBESE CULTURE. WHEN I WAS 5'9", COMPETING, AT 144 POUNDS, MY BODY FELT INVINSIBLE. UNEXPLAINABLE. AT 160 I FELT LIKE A SLUGGISH CRAP TARD. BUT NO WOMAN ON THE PLANET AT 5'3" AT 15O SHOULD EVEN COME CLOSE TO A MALE, AND STANDING 5 INCHES TALLER.
Your 165 lb is true but if someone has some muscle weight on them then this 165 weight would become unhealthy. To most people though yes you are right and even to fitness people I would argue many people overexaggerate how much actual lean muscle mass they are carrying. I do agree with you though about that girl being 5'3" 150 lbs. Depending how much muscle she does have would affect her fat numbers but yes regardless of how much muscle mass she has she is likely still on the higher end of body fat.
I'm thinking around 16% or so for slim figure. That said, it's worth noting that Mike Thurston did a DEXA scan and he was 15%:
But he's got huge muscles and body fat percentage only measures the ratio of body fat to lean mass. It's hard to tell sometimes. For example, some sumo wrestlers here in Japan look so fat but have under 25% body fat because they got huge muscles.
Yes I know that is why i asked it is incredibly difficult to get an accurate number. In that pic I was around 186 lbs at 6'1". Currently at 193 and trying to get a decent window of where i want my weight to fluctuate when i workout when i slowly gain or drop weight. Thinking between 180-195 ish.
I don't know but the abdomen seems to be a little large. In relation to your waist..
