I've noticed that the same people who get grossed out by period blood are the same people who will cheer for a bloody face during a fight or sports game. Showing no disgust at all. Why are you uncomfortable with the only blood that isn't produced by violence or because of medical reasons? It's only in recent years that even ads for pads and tampons started showing red blood like liquid being used instead of a blue one.

I'm uncomfortable seeing blood, period. Not just period blood.
