I've noticed that the same people who get grossed out by period blood are the same people who will cheer for a bloody face during a fight or sports game. Showing no disgust at all. Why are you uncomfortable with the only blood that isn't produced by violence or because of medical reasons?
It's only in recent years that even ads for pads and tampons started showing red blood like liquid being used instead of a blue one.
Why are you uncomfortable with seeing period blood but not other blood?
So I used to work as a grocery bagger. Which means I also get the shitty jobs literally. I cleaned bathrooms. I loved it because it meant my social anxiety could take a break an I could hide in the shitter for 30 min to an hr. They where clean asf boi.
Well 1 day mu manager comes to me and tells me to clean out the ,, female sanitation boxs,, me being me I didn't know wtf that was. I was so dumb I actually believed only women cleaned the women's room which led to some funny walk ins.
But this was a day I'll never forget. She gave me the key to the box which rn looking back who tf would go digging through a box of used tampons? Well I wasn't 100% sure what I'd encounter in there so I clean the room. And get to the box curious by nature I remember praying I wouldn't see blood and looked up at the ceiling trying to see heaven I guess I don't know and I told my self I was grabbing handfuls of muffins. Tell me why it all smelled fruity? Why I never figured it out. Well I got through that as fast as I could probably has thay duty a few more times snd rhe muffin process saved me what was bad is when something sticks to your gloves and you have to face a cold reality of where your hands went.

I was once going down on my wife and she usually got her period on either Wednesday or Thursday like clockwork. Culture. Period is still a taboo all around the world. You know, in my school, a girl was made fun when she first got her period, because of the period stain. All the guys made fun of her, and only some girls, including myself, helped her out. I used to be so embarrassed to change my pad/tampon when I first got mine.
It shouldn't be something that people should be grossed out by, or made fun of. Menstruation is something biological which ultimately gives a couple a baby. So humans are gross too? Weird. I don't understand people's psychology. But I think only 'boys' make fun of periods or get grossed out by it. Real men don't. You know what real men do? they help their girl out when she's on her period and take care of her. Not make fun of her or swear at her.

I was really uncomfortable with seeing period blood for years. I'd be grossed out by the smell of the blood in my pads and tampons and not want to look at them because it smelt bad. Then you introduced me to the cup and I loved it so much more which meant I had to get bit more up close and personal with my period blood. It didn't smell nearly as bad. Kinda just normal smells that come from down there. Obviously pads and tampons make the smell so much worse. Im totally fine with it now. Probably a little too comfortable. I hate seeing blood in general. Period blood just sucks because it’s painful, and when I first got my period it was really embarrassing since I had it at school. I had no pads and the period blood just bled threw the crotch area of my pants. I was really embarrassed and had to shove toilet paper in my underwear to minimize everything and placed a jacket over me to try and prevent people from seeing it. Ever since that it took a while for the feelings of embarrassment and Shame to be erased from my head but now I’m relatively ok with them since I’ve had it for a while and know how to handle them so I always remember to carry extra pads
I don't know. I find all that cage fighting disturbing af. Period blood is different from vein blood. It has a whole texture, quality and smell that is different from vein blood.
Periods are not taboo and I think boys should be raised acquainted with them. However, I can absolutely empathize with a person who finds menstrual blood off putting.
If you have irregular bleeding you can tell the difference between actual period blood and blood coming out for some other reason.
It really doesn't bother me either way. I used to go skinny dipping with female friends years ago and sometimes one of them would come out of the creek and pinkish water would be running down the leg. Once she had just started her period and another time another girl thought the day before was her last day but as we walked down the beach she showed a little blood. I don't know, for girls and women it's normal not to be grossed out by their period blood, not because it's not disgusting but because it's a real thing you can't avoid and you just get used to it. While men are easily grossed out by everything (I remember one of my guy friends being grossed out by a woman's nails bc they were a bit dirty 😂) In fight scenes, it's about virility for men and that's why they don't get grossed out.
I think the key difference between the two bloods is that what comes from from the vessels nourishes and is pure liquid. Menses is nothing but waste, the output from when our uterus refreshes its lining. It’s excrement really, like pee and poop. Plus it’s gunky and usually doesn’t smell pleasant.
I'm not disgusted at all, but i don't like blood because when a person bleeds it means he's hurt and i don't like seeing someone who is hurt...
About the period blood, well i'm not disgusted because a woman have periods to be able to give a man a baby and that's something biological, if i'm married i'll buy natural juices for my wife everytime she's on her period so i replaced the blood that she have lost with new fresh ones and give her all the necessary vitamins to her body and for sure i'll feed her more, hug her and kiss her so she always feels that she's loved and nothing about her will make me feel disgusted...
Also at night i'll massage her tummy so she feels comfortable and relaxed since the period gives cramps and sometimes pain...
doesn't bother me. living in a house with two sisters- one who wouldn't flush the toilet after putting her used tampons in there- it doesn't phase me lol
It's NEVER bothered me and I've always wondered why guys are so scared of it or nearly ANYTHING to do with it!! (You'll notice they have NO aversion AT ALL to the hole where it comes from at least once a month!!) They can't even TALK about periiods, or even tampons, or even TOUCH a box of them!! REALLY weird!!

Because it comes out from down there instead of any other part of the body. When I had my first period I was about 12 and I remember freaking out so much because I thought I was dying lol my mom never really explained it to me. And also because I watched Jersey shore and I remember ronni had a intestinal problem and he was bleeding so I thought it was the same thing. Y’all I was a kid okay😂💀. TMI but yea.
I'm a female and I am uncomfortable with period blood because of the smell. It smells disgusting lmao, but it's not like guys are smelling our blood like we are. I would assume guys are uncomfortable with it because it comes out of our vagina? It's normal for blood to come from cuts and such, but guys only think about cum coming out of a woman's vagina. Cause it's gross. Like blood coming out a penis no thanks. Don't matter if it's natural biological thing it's not really the first thing you want to think about is Vagina and blood. I generally don't like blood whether it's period blood or any other type of body blood. And it's not restricted to just human blood. Periods are really awful sometimes. I worry about whether I'm going to bleed through my pants and it has happened to me before. The cramps are also awful but thank God I don't get them every time I have my period
Well I am not grossed out but yeah it smells a lot... And I do like bloody noses and fights... sometimes I also participate in fighting... Nothing to be embarrassed of, it's medical and that's how women give birth and all I am somewhat comfortable with it...
I’m not uncomfortable at all. I used to get a towel for my girlfriend when I went down on her. Or took her to the stabbin canbin. Never a problem. If you pay attention to those ads they tend to be complained about when red when first released, and they actually switch the same ad to blue within days and often hours. If you all think period blood is horrific you should see fibroid blood. Think crime scene without warnings.

As for the ads well it's to be more classy and tasteful. Not every single naturalistic thing has to be shown on TV and that's okay too. I myself don't care if I see other women's hygene pad in trash bin in public toilet. Men would feel grossed out possibly. But we know it's not really. It's natural, so.

People who are uncomfortable with periods are uncomfortable with any blood, just more used to wound blood. Personal experience, you may not notice because they don't show it the same way, but as someone who has been bloodied quite a few times, I know.

It's literally substances that soil the blood. If blood comes out of your arm, that's stuff that could literally be used for blood transfusion. You can not use period blood for blood transfusion for the same reason. There's actually a relatively low amount of actual blood in period blood.
