I said "decent" because as an amateur in high school weighing 150lbs, I would bench 205 lb.
I'm not saying that to brag, I don't think I was very exceptional or terribly strong at the time, so I don't think 199lb is that impressive since it is basically the same weight I was doing as an underdeveloped child.
I think you should work up to at least doing 225lb (two 45lb plates on either side of a 45lb bar) as a minimum. You should be able to press this at least 6 times. You might also adjust when you do your maximum rather than doing it last when you are tired. I think it is good to switch up your routine so not always the same thing, but I like to do a lot of the heaviest I can do until failure, then reduce the weight and go to failure again, then reduce the weight and repeat. I have done this some times like with standing flys to the point where 10lb weights feel too heavy to lift!

Probably average of someone who has actively trained a little over a year or something. You can easily get a much better weight / bench ratio with just more workout. So that's definitely not "very good strength" compared to what is achievable.
And why would you use the amount you can bench when you're already gassed out :D Either test it at the beginning of the workout or otherwise it just sounds like excusing.

1. Being able to bench more than your own body weight is good.
2. Most people (every single man I've known IRL) lie about what they can do physically, so don't be impressed by others claims unless you see it for yourself. It’s not bad but this guy only weighs 154lbs and can bench 410lbs.
