Well I don't know if this will be an inspiration but, When I was 18 I went to the gym a lot because I thought I was fat. I'm120 and 5'3. Well I lost about 10 pounds going to the gym and on the treadmill for 2-3 hours every single day.
I got tired of that, so I have not exercised at all and I'm 25 now. I'm still 120 pounds and 5'3. I don't think that eating less or more, or exercising more would have helped me much in gaining or losing weight. I just eat when I feel hungry and don't eat when I feel full. I try to eat a lot of fruits through out the day and drink about 8 glasses of water (some times it is in the form of tea or juice). I think that helps me to stay full too.
Other than that, for those who really want to lose weight, I would recommend just eating to feel full and don't eat when you are already full. Try to take a lot of walks (which I do) and listen to your favorite music on your ipod and also eat a lot of fruits (fruits have fiber especially apples and it helps your metabolism). Try not to eat a lot of food when you are moody because you might just over eat since you have nothing else to do but eat to feel good (because some people say ice cream makes them feel good, which I hate sweets). Oh yeah, that brings me to another point. If you really want to lose weight or maintain the weight you have now, I would recommend NOT eating a lot of sweets. you know? Sugary food like soda, ice cream, cake, cookies etc. I think those things make you fat, and I barely eat any desert or sweets EVER. If you really want or crave something sweet, I would recommend chamomile tea with 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar in it :).
I don't know what else to say. To sum it up: Eat to feel full, don't eat too many sugar/fat, and take walks.
Oo this is a different question :P Well around the age of 13 I was quite on the large size. I was 60kg which may not seem much but when your as short as me, it was enough haha. Well I guess I just ate healthier and I got into soccer too :)
I used to weigh 127 lbs at 5'11".
I was inhumanly skinny.
probably about 3 months ago, I decided to start hitting the gym.
Right now, I weigh 155 lbs. I'm still not huge or anything, but 30 lbs of solid muscle makes a big difference.
I'm shooting for 170 lbs by the end of the year.
Basically, I've been going to the gym 5 days a week and lifting the heaviest objects that I can as many times as I can. Eating a diet that consists of almost no fat. Lots of fruit, applesauce, fish, spinach, chicken, protein bars, 10 eggs a day, wheat breads,
occasional cardio and a lot of rock climbing and mountaineering helped keep me from gaining any excess body fat from the high calorie intake. Now, it's pretty much just a matter of staying motivated.
i used to be a fatty but when I got into high school I started playing sports and working out. Now that I'm out of high school my job keeps me in shape.
