Do you believe CBD actually calms people who have anxiety?

All you have to know is how you've felt when using marijuana. It gives you a feeling of relaxation and goofiness. Everything's fine.
If CBD can do this without the getting high part, it is a viable drug and has few side effects, likely because it's all natural. THe jury's still out because it's a complex drug and it hasn't been studied long enough by big pharma and the govt. In the next decade, I bet all of this will be ironed out, it will be come legal for individuals to grow it at home and the govt will get tax revenue from sales on the medical side, and those who cultivate it with govt licenses will be able to sell to individuals who want to cultivate it for personal use. and the sales of seeds will be taxed to s upport medical research and medical use.
Absolutely.
I started as a medical patient and CBD oil was the missing piece of my recovery from Generalized Anxiety Disorder.
I was on just meds, and then just meds and therapy for three years. When I added CBD oil to the mix, I had breakthrough after breakthrough for months. I'm way happier, healthier, and more productive now on meds, therapy, and CBD.
It's not the same for everyone, and quality of the product makes a huge difference. Even in the legal market, if you get an idiot for a budtender you might pay for CBD but be given THC oil - which will NOT do the same thing.
CBD is also being researched for its use as a neural protectant, and more studies are being done on its benefits for things like Alzheimer's and dementia.
I don't believe, if this was relevant to me, I would research it. Quick search on google scholar gives the following: "Evidence points toward a calming effect for CBD in the central nervous system." - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6326553/
Tests were done on 72 humans, which is a decent sample size and much better than mice research or the likes.
If I had to make a decision, based on this I would assume it does.
Nope, I think it's the placebo effect, it works on 50% of people, even terminal cancer patients will believe they're getting better when given sugar water labeled as a miracle cure and show symptoms of the same. If you made a big enough ad campaign for the holistic effects of potassium cyanide, then people would be putting milligrams into gallons of water and swearing by the healing powers.
@RafaRodri Weed and CBD are completely different, CBD does nothing for me. If I'm feeling bad and get the munchies, if nothing else my body has more energy to heal. It's why I think THC can help in some situations, but CBD is 100% in your head to the point that you could just label it CBD as normal food and observe the same effects.
Ads swear by it, people around you do, it makes for a powerful feedback loop, almost like a faith.

everyone is different... we all have slightly different chemistry in our brain, and there are many components and mixes in our psyche that can be a bit off place sometimes...
but yes, CBD can help people to deal with their anxiety and other situations, it works for some, maybe not for others... and that goes the some with other drugs and other people, so I would never rule it out as a possibility of being actually helpful
Honestly, I used to smoke basically everyday for years.. My uncle acc still does & he gets so annoyed if he doesn't smoke at least once day. I really do believe that it helps calm you down & aid in anxiety. I believe its also been scientifically proven to aid in this tho? But i speak under correction.
I have heard a lot of anecdotal evidence about helping with insomnia, anxiety and pain. I have aso heard it doesn't help. My wife tried it to help her sleep and it didn't help. I guess you should buy some nd try it. Make sure you get it from a legitimate source and not buy it in a convenience store.
It can also cause anxiety, so you're kind of rolling the dice.
Personally I prefer a burbon sour to turn down or relax when I'm really stressed and it's a good bit more classy than stinking up the place with weed too.
That or a chamomile tea.
You are your habits afterall.
I absolutely can confirm that CBD is a miracle in my life! I am long-suffering with PTSD. Years of CBT and traditional meds could barely control my condition. When my PTSD triggered nightmares, I became desperate for a treatment. I read about CBD and sought a doctor referral. It changed my life. CBD had an immediate effect, and is my reliable medication of choice.
Yes I do think that, but people also abuse it when they have no reason to be smoking that crap. Cannabis and cannabidiol are just like any prescription drug; can be helpful if you actually need it, and horrible if you're not actually sick.
I took marijuana many times and I was interested in it when I was in college and I would like to relieve my head of unnecessary problems. In General, I was good at it and now I get it with the help of one thing which calls CBD. Here at this site I has a very soft and relaxing effect, I am very happy with the effect this thing has on my nerves and my psyche. I feel very good and calm under it.
I’ve heard from several people I know personally that the CBD oil and creams can help a lot with arthritis. I’ve always thought that smoking anything, regardless of the benefits does more harm than good though.
I have debilitating anxiety. Depression and OCD I haven't tried it but for sure it will work but I used to suffer from Depersonalization and derealization and it bad for that so I would not take for that reason
I’m no expert, but I’ve heard from supposed experts that it can have all sorts of positive effects for people suffering from different ailments.
It can yes. But it really depends on the person. Some people's anxiety can be worse on it and others are much calmer.
I don't use that BUT I have family members and friends that use it and it chills them out and they all have one thing in common they all only use it at night:)!
yeah. it's like taking painkillers for takingback pain. stop treating the symptoms. treat the cause. if you have anxiety, you need to fix your life. not treat the anxiety.
Yes I do. And unfortunately you won't be able to "monitor" the ages of who answers this question, since there's no "allow and don't allow" buttons. So, it's useless to say who should and shouldn't answer this
😬 Are you Paranoid? 😬
not at all, you?
Only when I have to connect to the Matrix and download into a populated cityscape, Agents everywhere 😎 😂😂😂🤣
Not sure. It may “feel” good to anxious people. But I was an alcoholic with the same idea. And alcohol and Mary Jane are de-stimulants. So while the “hyper” anxiety might be calmed, the depression that’s commonly linked to it would get worse.
Well, my belief wouldn't really matter when compared to actual data.
I've been using it for almost 3 years and it helps my seizures. I support it!
I've known this one girl who took it and it increased her anxiety so I guess it only works for some people?
My friend suffers from anxiety and migraines. It has helped her a lot.
I don't know what CDB is but my cousin Jeepzen OD'd on his first hit of weeds.
Tried it and did not help me. Might help others though
It's not a belief it's quite literally proven and has been for a long while.
The calming effects may not be permanent or even effective long-term. They may only last as long as the weed is affecting your neural pathways, so it may be nothing more than a stopgap.
I believe it does but that's alps just putting a band aid over the cause and then it turns into an addiction. There's ups and downs to really anything and cbd is no exception
Cannabinoids react differently with different people
It is a better medication for any mental issue than any drug from a prarmacy.
I think it’s more person to person. No drug is just sweepingly good for everyone
I would not use anything with a marijuana product in it or extracted from it. All i noticed ia people have became more slower then before.
Maybe, but let's be honest, those who advocate for it just use that as an excuse to get stoned legally.
i use and it it definitely helps, may not affect everybody the same way though.
I thought it was just used for pain, but if I was in pain I wouldn't use it, I'd go for the THC.
I don’t know I’ve never tried it what about the side effects of Killing Brain cells?
Works for me. Don't get it from a headshot or anything of the like. They sell low grade stuff.
it treats the symptoms of anxiety. it doesn't fix your life's problems. it's an excuse.
I think it can help some people, but other people it might not work
I believe so but I dont speak from personal experience
Yes, it is great for anxiety, but in all honesty it’s not that effective for pain.
It helps me.. for anxiety and any form of pain.
I think it does for certain people
because thats just an excuse...
I've tried it. I prefer pot all day everday
It seems to but it is also far too expensive.
It 100% does I promise
It can cause paranoia
CBD is good for some folks. Not everyone
Yes I do.
Of course.
I do.
Thc is better
Quite possibly
