Has anyone had a cracked tooth filled before at the dentist?

Is it painful getting it filled? I've had a regular filling before, but don't really recall. I think I have a cavity from it if that makes any difference? Pretty sure they freeze it, and other than some pressure, you don't feel anything, but can anyone confirm that? Hate the dentist and dreading the day lol.

I have never had a cavity BUT I do have a cracked tooth. My dentist doesn't want to do anything until it becomes absolutely necessary to fix. They do not fill it like a traditional cavity. They actually put a crown on it and they rub a numbing gel on the gum before injecting numbing medication.

You must eat a very healthy diet if you’ve never had cavities before. You could probably write a nutrition book. I’ve had cavities since I was 16 I think and 98% of the time it doesn’t hurt more than a pin prick when they fix you. Find a good dentist and not an affordable one. A good dentist can save your life.

No, I just had a couple of cavities filled. I have not had a cavity in 30 years. The technology is really a lot better now. You should have a good outcome.
