I understand the struggle, I've not even fully detached from it, but I am obligated to share advice, beginnoing with:
[WHAT IS WORKING FOR ME]
1. Meaning, a purpose, a hobby of the soul. For me this equates to philosophy, poetry, and self-overcoming (self overcoming is moreso hope, currently).
2. Improvement in some aspect of life (can be fitness, school, family, etc). You reap what you sow.
3. Looking towards the light. "you are ugly." well, "that won't stop me from finding love." and came the reply, "you are cursed!" yet I say, "unfairness is the way of nature, and the habitants of nature evolve via self overcoming, so I shall do so." and finally, "remember that bitch, and what she did to you? Wanna vent? Whatcha wanna tell her? Tell me, tell me!" yet I know that our thoughts are seeds, either of life or death, therefore I think carefully.
4. It may sound counter-intuitive, but wait. Waiting got me here.
[ACTIVITIES WHICH I INTEND TO ADOPT]
1. Exercise. This has countless benefits.
2. Meditation. This has countless benefits.
3. Biohacking. Translates to "self overcoming" in my opinion.
4. Life. To merely exist is flawed and a disgusting act against life. a. Discover my virtues, be brave. b. Pursuit that which I am meant to. PURSUIT. But wait, so that you shall know, or discover.
5. Friends, particularly befriending those who are worth my time.
6. Generally adopting healthy habits and departing from bad ones.
fare thee well. ❤️

You will get many different takes regarding this and should of course always speak to a professional.
For me personally I simply just decided one day I'm no longer going to be depressed.
I spent almost ten years locking myself away from the world and getting down about things that at the time felt like they were the biggest issues anyone could ever deal with... and now despite having still got those issues and some even far worse than at the time... they dont even cross my mind.
I simply said I'm going to stop thinking about things that are A) in the past B) out of my control C) likely to get me down.
If an issue pops into my head and it's something I may be able to rectify then of course I will focus on it... but anything else as soon as it pops in, I knowingly think about something else... or do something else to take my mind off it.
For me it was choosing not get depressed..
But I know what works for some won't work for others... my mum suffers from depression also and despite offering my way of doing it, they are not able to switch it off.. and require medical treatment to help them.
What I will tell you will either help you or piss you off. But it worked for me. You have got to want to get rid of it. Of course nobody wants to be in a depression, but many people in a depression don't want to put in the time and effort to get out of it, give up and get themselves right back into their depressed state.
Why do they give up? Because their will and resolve was weak. You're not going to be rid of depression in a day. It takes time and effort. So now you understand what I mean by this... You have got to WANT to get rid of it.
Meds and therapy usually work for me. If not try talking to friends.

See a physician, try antidepressant medication. There are many, not all work for all people. If you can, see a counselor too. Same comment -- not all counselors work for all people.
I am so sorry. Sometimes mental help and a lot of prayer. I’m so sorry. I hope you get to feeling better
Sunshine and exercise help. So does getting enough sleep and eating properly.
Try that for a while and if it doesn't work then seek professional assistance.Good food, healthy environment and maintaining a healthy body. That's the natural way and much better than letting meds do the thing.
Try to figure out the reason before you take. Medicines by consulting a professional.
