My dog has a thyroid problem, and she gains weight when we don't fill her meds, and loses it when we do. Not to compare you to an animal, it's just my background knowledge on it.
Due to your medical condition, losing weight will be extremely hard until you have your body under control. Also, you should talk to your doctor about losing weight to make sure it won't harm you in any way or your health. The easiest way to lose weight for you will to have the conversation with your doctor about getting your pills to the right dosage and your thyroid under control. After your thyroid is under control, there are other initiatives you can take, for example, instead of going for a walk every day, make it half walk half job, and then a jog, and work your way up to going for a run every day.
