One thing that comes to mind for me is obesity. Growing up I'd always here about how "people in the US (or the West) are dying of obesity while people in Africa and India are starving to death"
Well that was 2005; this is 2022 and now more people die of obesity related problems than malnutrition worldwide.

I think entitlement is a huge problem. Everyone thinks they deserve something just because they exist. Poor people, rich people, privileged or underprivileged. And the selfish greed to constantly want/need more and people keep saying that it's good like it's motivating.
On the other side, there's also people praising selfdepracation like it's humble. If someone is good at something he/she should be able to acknowledge it without being told he/she lacks humility.
Confidence and humility can coexist but for some reason people can't seem to find the balance and they are often shaming others who are confident or shaming others who are humble or both.
