It's going to differ from person to person. But to me, any woman 5'6"/167 cm or under, is short/small to me. And I'd say anything under 120 pounds is below the normal range and falls into "skinny." I'd say normal female weight would be between 125 to 155 pounds (57 to 70 kg).

So a "petite woman" to me, would be 5'6" or less, and under 120 pounds.

I am 5'6 and I think I am short because my curves stop me from looking tall and elongated. Whereas I have friends shorter but because they're rail thin they photograph as if they're taller. Height photography wise doesn't matter really.

I think weight and shape can change the perception of height though. And weight I think for an unathletic average person below 5'4, 115 lbs is an average weight, between that and 5'7 up to 140, and taller I would say 150 .

It depends on the region you live in. There is no clear answer. Northern people tend to be bigger than southern people.

Anything under 5'3" and 110 lbs. is small for a woman. Most women are around 5'4" and 120 lbs when not overweight.

I'm definitely not petite. 165 cm and 58 kgs. I'm taller than most guys where I live, and I weigh more than most guys too. I used to have a male friend who was 173 cm and 43 KGS!
