If a obese person lose a lot of weight will he still need oxygen therapy?

Lol it’s not weight (mass) related, tbh.

It’s due to respiratory weakness of any sort:

• Weak lungs/ history of collapsed lungs
• Weak heart
• (Genetic/ hereditary) diabetes/ (unresolved) cholesterol issues

A history of a compromised respiratory system- due to:

• Constant/ frequent lung infections
• history of smoking
• history of second-hand smoking

etc.

There’s probably a lot more that I am not even aware of. 👐

A person who has drastic weight fluctuations, wouldn’t have a direct impact on their oxygen levels- it would be more so dependent on the cholesterol factors, and any clogging of arteries, than mass.

There’s a lot of overweight musicians and singers- not normally so, but still…

and they breathe alright, as well as atheletes who deal with intentional breathing monitoring- such as swimming 🏊‍♀️ 🏊‍♂️, and boxing 🥊. (Compared to the average person).

Any overweight person genuinely concerned with their breathing, would have to ask their doctor. It’s highly dependent on their life styles, and their respiratory state.

Even construction workers and some landscapers, are examples of compromised respiratory systems, who I would think, would need breathing treatment, regardless of their weight- husky, or thin, in their occupation.

I am only aware of oxygen therapy for people with birth defects. I do not know of it being used for obesity.

You have to remember that what you can see is a portion of what is going on underneath your skin. Your organs and interior are covered with fat. So much that the fat must comes through pores and expand. Losing weight does not mean that your organs recover because you look good on the outside. It MAY have some effect but one will not know until one drops weight as planned and charted by your doctor.
