The average person in decent health typically does not have a DNR in place, let alone a will expressing their wishes. Most people do not know what one is. I did one for both parents especially when Mom was terminal.

No, I don't desire death. There is no reason for a rational thinking healthy person to have one of those.. Now if you had a terminal or chronic disease I could definitely see having one of those.

There are situations where having one of those is just wrong. Say you're a single mother or single father with no other family, and something happened and because of the dnr you could jot be revived.. You'd be leaving small children with nothing. But this is like the only reason I can think of where it's just wrong.

Here it's almost impossible to get it even if it's legal.

I have an agreement with my wife that if I'm ever locked in a way where I'd want to be euthanized, she knows what to do to put me out of my misery.

It's extremely convoluted because here it can pass as murder and she doesn't have to ruin her life and make out children lose another parent. We need to legalize euthanasia.

If I did, I wouldn't be alive right now. Having several seizures from my brain cancer was a weird experience, considering, I never had them before. I wanted to have that in place if I wound up a vegetable, but that would probably take a while to figure out the nuances.

I have a will, DNR, living will and power of attorney. They are not at the hospital though. They are in a fireproof safe at home and my family knows where they are.

I don't blame you. I have one on file. That only changes if I do it or my best friend decides for me if I'm incapable, and he knows not to.
