Best underwear for men with bigger privates?

My boyfriend has been complaining abut his underwear when we do athletic things together, like going on a long hike. He needs something that provides support but also prevents chafing. What are some athletic underwear that hold his 'boys' in place and support them while also keeping them from chafing? Are there any underwear with a special pouch to provide some separation?

I hate the pouches. —and I don’t like support when I am hiking. I don’t need the support and it just causes strangulations, sweat build-up, etc. I wear Under Armor basketball shorts (the very smooth ones that hang naturally with a soft hand to the fabric) as underwear when on hiking trips. They provide moisture and heat management, dry easily when rinsed, and allow me freedom of movement down there.

I am not a pornstar, but I have a fair amount of stuff down there to manage. I definitely find that most “supportive” underwear is unpleasantly confining.

Honestly, I would enjoy hiking in a kilt—free to the fresh air—but I am too self-conscious to wear one.

That's great to know, he's been having trouble with his tight compression shorts so maybe that's what he needs

Tell him to use Body Glide. Works better than any sports clothing for chafing in the crotch. I use it before I go running. Makes a big difference.

Also this! I assume anyone going on a long hike is using Body Glide. If not, you should be. That stuff is great, and you can apply it anywhere you get chafing.

I wear boxer briefs for working out
They push your package closer to your leg but also doesn't make it chafe
It does make it sweaty but that happens on hikes all the time

it’s either you need more room or need more support.. u can’t really have both.. but have you tried going up a size.

Go to the drug store and buy a jockstrap

You don't have to Wear a cup when wearing a jumpstrap. It just holds your twig and berries close to your body
