I have an important event coming up in exactly a month and unfortunately I gained about 10 lbs recently. I look super bloated too. I’ve been having battles with weight loss for over a decade due to my low metabolism and pcos. I’ve tried intermittent fasting, eating low carbs, no processed foods, no sugar and an overall a healthy diet, combined with regular workouts. I’ve been doing this for over a year, during the first 1-3 months I saw results but then I saw no difference physically. It’s now as If I’m back to square one. The only thing I did different recently was go on vacation for a week. I still did fasting and I walked a lot too. It’s frustrating. I finally was able to buy my dream dress for the event and now it can’t fit. I’m not a fan of yo yo diets, but is there anything I can do to quickly shed some pounds in a month? And once it does not involve starving myself, thank you in advance 😊

I lost 20 pounds in a little under 2 months by drinking half a gallon of water daily, cutting out soda completely, and eating a snack mid day and then a big dinner that night. I cut out breakfast (as always) and lunch. I did get a few migraines since I didn’t wait until 3pm for my snack on most days but thats because I slept in a lot. This was the most weight I ever lost in a short time despite not exercising at the same time. Month 3 i gained at least half the weight back (because I feasted like crazy and soda-binged) after a potential relationship gone wrong. 🤣 Anyways, I intend to do something like this again, but this time, I’ll drink half a gallon of water, eat lunch and dinner, cut soda off again, and do some cardio.

Also, I still ate whatever I wanted as my snack and dinner. Usually a lot of salt intake but the water intake tamed it 🤷♀️

Also i think my 20 pounds mightve just been water weight but who knows 🤷♀️ My stomach was flat flat, my face had slimmed down and my leg muscle looked more toned I don't know

I think losing weight is not a good idea here because nothing much you can do in a month. If you go for a 500 calories deficit, the most you will lose is around 1-1.5 lbs which is not much. The better option is to lose body fat and build muscle. The scale might stay the same or goes up, but you will lose some inches and your clothes will fit better.
You can do cardio once or twice a week, combine with strength training 3/4 times per week. Do not restrict your calories, just eat clean and stick with high protein and fibre food.00 Reply
Stay away from sugars sugar water is like Pepsi soda eat fruits and vegetables and for 30 minutes a day walk at a fast pace for 30 days if you commit to this you will not only lose weight but your body will tone that you have to commit and you have to walk at a fast pace and you have to take care of your body with the things that you put into it

Make sure you drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. No sugar. No high fructose corn syrup or foods with it. Eat lots of fruit for sweet and vegetables. Brown rice and eggs. Don't starve. Just watch what you eat. Also, check your B12 levels and take oral B12 supplements it helps with metabolism.

Stop eating so much. For most people they may think they've a slow metabolism but they are over eating too much of all the wrong food.
I had weight trouble and how I lost weight was I started eating one good healthy meal per day, before 6pm. Thos is call OMAD. Eating before bed is a big mistake because your body can properly digest your food & repair itself for the next day. Breakfast was said to be the most important meal of the day but this idea was started by advertisers to market more meats to the public, Breakfast is important for kids.
I started eating more vegetables, filling up on them with every meal. I eat plenty of salads. I eat meat that's high in protein like grilled chicken, steak, eggs, fresh fish. I don't eat processed meat or fast food. I don't eat bread. I don't ear sugary snacks. I dong eat dairy. I drink lots of black unsweetened coffee and water to suppress my appetite. Steamed brocoli and chicken as a meal is a real game changer. A single head head of brocoli will fill you up and has less fat than an oreo biscuit. I recommend hot sauce to make this meal eatable. I eat lots of boiled rice also. I don't drink soda pop.
Portion control is another part of this. In other words don't be greedy, eat what you need. You won't be filling your body up like a dumpster full of food. You will be less bloated, will sleep better and have easier bowel movements.
Plenty of sleep too. I guarantee this will help. Intermittent fasting is another one. A meal replacement shake will help. Exercise will speed it up.
Most people in the west live sedentary lives and eat 3 meals per day because we've been led to believe we should. But good is an addiction espicially some of the snacks & drinks& fast food out there. I'm not promoting anorexia or bulimia, just feeding your body what it needs. Eating right you will feel a lot better and have a lot more energy.
00 Replyavoiding sugar isn't the answer, eat fresh high-water fruits for a week straight snd you will definitely lose fat, if the fruit or veggie doesn't contain a high amount of water ditch it as its no good, this is easy because if you consider the food juicy then its most definitely high water

More cardio. Walking burns so little calories. If you're physically unable to do anything more intense than walking (joint issues or what have you) then look into ruck marching. Burns WAY more calories with 20, 30 pounds on your back.

That’s really tough. Your best bet is to exercise regularly and eat a healthy diet for the next month. You may not lose ten pounds, but you’ll lose something.

That depends what you consider "starving yourself". I have hypothyroidism and sleep apnea. I still am able to lose weight.

Don't lose weight. Replace the fat mass with muscle mass.
