Girls, what birth control pills do you use?

I'm thinking about getting on birth control and want to know the best birth control pill to take.

One daughter is on the pill. Other daughter is taking the three month injection. She tried the patch but it gets too hot in the south for that, with pool parties or going to the beach.

wife tried Implanon but after a month she gained about 15-20 lbs and she had them take it out. She’s been struggling with her weight ever since.

she’d lost all her pregnancy weight after our second child but with the Implanon she gained a lot quickly and hasn’t lost it for years.

so I got snipped. She’d done her part, it was the least I could do.

Talk to your doctor/ObGyn. There are so many different kinds including the IUD which is non hormonal.

I’ve taken whatever generic combined pill my insurance covered- aurovela or similar. The pill definitely works as long as you take it consistently. I quit it because the side effects for me were not worth it. But a lot of people do have good luck with them, so don’t let me deter you. It’s worth trying because they are accessible.

My cousin, was age 14 at the time she went to planning care the doctor put her on Depo-Provera (contraceptive injection) he told her she had to be on her menstrual cycle for it to work, but she was faithful to stay on it because at the current time she was dating, and my late mom was her legal guardian at the time, and she didn't want her to end up pregnant and like most contraceptives there is always good and bad reviews.
