It is true. It is good cholesterol. Cholesterol isn't bad. Too much of anything is bad for you. You can die from drinking too much water. There is HDL and LDL cholesterol. If you keep them balanced then you are fine. HDL balances out your LDL.

Yes but most of it is in the yolks. You can sub egg whites for most recipies.

I heard that eating cholesterol does not make your cholesterol go up, there are other things that will make it go up but eating it does not always raise it.
