Why do my breasts look so full if they are a small size?

I am 23 years old, I have a slim build and I am a little short in height. I am a size 28D but somehow my breasts look fuller than usual.

I lent one of my bras to a friend who is the same size for comparison but her breasts don't look as full as mine.

Is there any explanation for this?
Does this happen to any other girl?

I have read that most women wear the wrong size bras. That when properly fitted their bra size is way different than what the woman thought that she should be wearing.
If you haven’t. I would suggest that you get professionally fitted. You may find that a properly fitted bra will feel much better when wearing it!

D size is not small... it's a bigger cup, and also... 28 is an indication of a very small frame for your body

I never wore real bras until I was in college. I grew up with my father and brothers so I didn't have a female guide regarding women's underwear sizes. lol. But since I started wearing bras I wear size S. Doesn't that mean they are small?

you're already, naturally slim and probably petite as well (short height and lower weight) so not only it would be very unhealthy to try to lose weight, but it would also be unhealthy and very difficult to gain significant weight

are you just wondering? or do you actually want them to be a different size?

I ask because sometimes they feel fuller and heavier than normal as. if like they were bloated. I thought it was because of the weight.

no... this is probably because of your period, sometimes... the breasts do get more dense or "fuller" because of menstruation cycles, and all those hormones... and other times they can get also feel sore or more sensitive

28" is a typical under-bust (rib) measurement for a girl. It means that her waist is probably 24", which is typical for a girl who isn't overweight.

D actually isn't large. It's on the small side of medium.
Cups are determined by the number of inches difference between the bust and under-bust measurements. 1"=A, 2"=B, 3"=C, 4"=D, etc. So boobs that only add 4" to the ribs aren't very large.
6" is more like medium.

Unfortunately, because bras are fitted incorrectly, people are deceived into thinking that a C cup is medium, D is large, and DD is very large.

Anyway, D is still a nice size. And I'm guessing that the reason your breasts look full is probably because they ARE full. The tops might not scoop as much, so your breasts are rounder, have more volume, and puff out from your chest.

D's and DD's can already give women some back and neck pain, and sore on the shoulders because of the weight... and they will also get in the way for daily activities and might also get in the way when you sleep... and women with them usually do not run too fast because these BIGger breasts might run on their own too, lol...

and this why D's and DD's are considered BIG by the girls who have to carry them all day

so yes, they are large and big... the other are just HUMUNGOUS

So 28 is the band size of your bra. So you know your actual under-bust measurement?

If you have a slim and slightly short build, then your breasts are proportionately larger than someone else with D-cups who is taller and/or broader. Yours might also have more natural lift/roundness.

That's what my friend said it wasn't that mine looked bigger, it's that they were much firmer and rounder. Unlike her who is a little taller, she has more weight and her back is wider.

Hormone changes and also it depends on ur time of the month. for example mine look plumper around my period and ovulation time

There's a few things can cause swelling. Ovulation and pregnancy are the most obvious. Tests for both are cheap enough.

Otherwise see your doctor and get a mammogram done

Try a differed brand of bra to see if that changes anything. Also try a 30C for fit…
