Best way would be to ask them. My theories:

• They are testing for a false positive.
• I heard if you can exclude real pregnancy a positive may be an indicator for something else. I dont know what though.
• They actually think you might be pregnant. If they didn't ask you that weird but you never know.

Yes that makes sense. Although they kinda always ask that. My theories hold. You will not know for sure until you ask them.
