Are birth control pills safe for a 13 year old? Should I let her be without BC until she has her first menstrual cycle?

My wife is a doctor. She regularly prescribes the pill for acne, menorrhagia and a host of other things that are nothing to do with reproduction. There's versions specifically designed for younger girls. Your doctor can tell you what the right fit for her is.

Menstruation happens when the egg and the uterine lining is shed if the woman does not get pregnant. So it happens after the time that she CAN get pregnant. Are you sure that you are a woman?

I think you need to talk to your daughter's gynecologist or your gynecologist if she doesn't have one yet. Assuming your daughter does have a gynecologist, I would recommend talking to that gynecologist because she knows your daughter and can make targeted recommendations.

BC pills are not good for women at all in most cases. Screwing with a woman's natural hormones is generally not good.

Why would a 13 be put on the pill? Good parenting and education is better than taking a child to be put on this harmful pill.

The traditional birth control pill mimics the pregnancy hormone which tells your ovaries not to ovulate. I don't think that if your daughter hasn't had her periods yet that you should start her on birth control. That said you should probably talk to a gynecologist about it.
