Is there a cut underneath my nail?

So yesterday I was playing basketball and when I tried to stop a pass, my hand hit the guy’s hand/arm an bruised my thumb, specifically on the nail. At first it was a dull purple color and the pain only lasted for about a couple of minutes, but it’s been over a day and it’s turned sort of dark red. Kind of looks like dried blood underneath, but it doesn’t hurt completely. I only feel anything when pressure is applied and even then it’s more close to an itch or a small stomach ache than real pain fortunately.

for the little blood vessels there to get burst, and then the blood has nowhere else to go, lol
