What can be done to address the growing challenges of mental health among young people in a digital age?

teach them that every action brings consequences and it's not directed against them... it's how the world works...
show them an understanding of their struggles... it's always good to have someone who would listen to them... also listening to their problems can help to find a solution, as our brain processes heard information differently
show them that asking for help doesn't mean they are weak...
Stop that lazy "digital parenting" by handing the kids a device since 1 year old, to get them to be quite. Take away the devices and get them out hiking, camping, bicycling, using their imagination. Kids don't have enough offline & self-discipline to have digital maturity. So take away their devices, until they need them, and put up with the tantrums & screaming (put in construction grade earplugs if you need to.). Kids will go through the stages of grief then accept it. Kids are a major annoyance & inconvenience that parents need to take responsibility for, which also means dealing with the dreaded screaming, tantrums, whining, complaining, yelling, ... etc. time to learn patience and get the years of all of that out of their systems that you digi-parents put off.
1980's days... where there is no internet or internet that day. just a phone. the internet don't work
like australia... turn off the internet for younger people.
etc..
I see young people going to church, meeting in groups... some are trying.
maybe they will stop posting pics online and understand the problems associated.
What the current government is trying to do (restrict access to under-16's) isn't going to work; it's not practical. People, especially young people, know how to get around restrictions like the ones they're proposing. To me it just seems like a feel-good, virtue-signalling slap on the back for those who proposed and pushed it.
The answer to your question lies within the question itself; digital, the digital age. People need to put their phones down more often, and look up and see the real world. They don't do enough of that, and yes, that includes me. I shouldn't spend so much time online, and I spend too much time on this site, answering questions like this when I should be out and about, enjoying the sun. Information overload I would bet is one of the leading, if not the leading, cause of mental illness today. We're just not equipped to deal with, and process, endless streams of information.

Mental health.. or..."mental torture with that booty pic" ?
On to the serious answer now... Off the "devices" all them cause "brainwashing", instigation to many "unhealthy things & actions" which can result in them "landing" in Hot water!
Only a mass EMP attack would snap them off their phone long enough for them to care about their own mental health.
Until then, they're in a fake world, believing fake things, and wondering why other people think they're retarded.
Social media should require proof of age verification just like adult websites have been doing in some states. Mandatory proof that you are old enough to have some basic real life experiences under your belt without your beliefs being based on wanting to jump on the bandwagon just because others are doing it.
I don't know. The genie is out of the bottle. I see young people walking across campus between classes. They travel in groups but all the students are looking at their phones instead of talking to each other. These kids are addicted to their phones.
Get off all Social Media as soon as possible as all it does is damage your mental health in so many ways. But that is just my opinion. ~📴~

Are you josy-josy?
@Aakash_Hangargi No, and not Josy Wales either. 🤣
Short term, monitor, perhaps legally, youngsters' social media time and viewing. Long term, a Citizens' Income which would take poverty and its stresses out of children's lives as their parents would have enough to raise them without worrying about their kids' physical and emotion needs going unattended.
I can't even consider the question because I am so perplexed about why you would post a picture of your ass in conjunction with this topic. How is your ass related to mental health?
Growing? I'm skeptical they are worse than they were, just better reported. If the rate of term suicide is up, it may be because the means are either more available (guns) or more widely known (e. g. sodium nitrite)
maybe make the question seriously instead of some weird promote post with your arse out
"I was just hoping you might give me some insight into the evolution of the market economy in the southern colonies?"

Girl if you're going to post you ass at least own it instead of throwing it into an unrelated question
Is there a reason you have your well rounded tushy showing?
Good start would be to take mental health seriously instead of posting a gross ass booty pic with your question.
Teach them where the "OFF" button is. All phones, tablets, laptops and desktops have one!
why you posting your butt on an unrelated question lmao
Get your kids involved in social activities. Sports and the like. Something that requires communication with others without digital technology. It fills in the gaps social media is creating.
Just what the fuck has the picture got to do with your question?
bruh
what is that picture lol what does it gotta do with mental health
I don't think there's much that can be done now, I think society has reached it's irreversible point a while ago.
why tf would u add an ass picture on this question...
Keep them away from cell phones and mass media until they're at least 18.
Lmao what does that ass have to do with mental health
Legalize protitution, so men won't have to deal with the loneliness.
what was the point of the picture anyways probably not spending so much time on a device
Realizing that the online world only has the power over you socially that you give it.
Proper parenting would help a lot!
Mental health or ass?
Ignore negative comments
Get offline and outside
Forest bathing
What doe the picture have to do with the question
Seek out professional help
And can i just smack it!!!
Ban schooling and return to proper education
This is awful!
The ass is not real
